Hi guys I had previously set 2 seating positions on the drivers side seat for both myself and my wife. Now all of the sudden the memory seat function is not working. It won’t even let me set any new seating positions. I’m wondering if something has been touched either on the seat or key fob or if there is a way to reset the memory seat completely to start again and re program the seats? Turn program the seats I do the following: 1. Turn off ignition on 2. Adjust seat 3. Press the “SET” button 4. Press the position number “1”, “2” or “3”. Has anyone else come across this issue or know how I can get the memory seating to work again? Car is a 2017 FL 230 (VRS 169 DSG) Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone I'm looking to add more of the famous DSG farts with a new exhaust as I've got my eye on the Scorpion resonated cat-back system. Before I pull the trigger, what is removal of the factory OEM exhaust like? Is it just a matter of unbolting the factory system by removing the pipes, removing the clamps and mufflers off the rubber hanger mounts? And then do the same in reverse to install the new system. I would like to avoid any cutting (which I am certain there is none, unless you removed the resonator completely) so it's easy enough to re-install the factory exhaust should I sell the car. Hi everyone After doing a search through the forum I can't seem to find any definitive answers. Can anyone confirm what the front and rear brake disc sizes are on the facelift VRS 230 and the 245. Not sure if both models use the same size or not. I've also read they are both the same size as the Golf R, but unable to determine the actual size. Any further info would be great!

I have the ‘Driving data’ in the maxi dot display but am unsure how I reset it for a specific drive I want to calculate. Would be great to do this on the infotainment unit also.

Hi all After driving in a base model facelift Octavia I noticed that every time I turned the engine off it displayed a handy “Journey info” on the MFD (between the dials on the dash). For the life of me I can’t seem to turn this feature on for my facelift 230 vrs. Is there perhaps a setting I can enable to have this feature? Cheers

Hi everyone I’ve just noticed that my 2017 facelift Octavia VRS is making a squeaking sound at various times and low very low speeds. I was was horrified thinking it was another car making the noise only to discover it was my car! I cant tell if it’s coming from the front or rear, normally if I’m coming out of my driveway or pulling out of a parking spot. To describe the sound, it’s like you can hear the wheels are turning and rotating. The squeak eventually goes away but it now has me concerned as it’s happening more often. Would anyone be able to tell me where this annoying squeak could be coming from and how I can fix it?

Apologies to sound so newbie like, but is S mode VRS Sports mode selected from the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) or is it S from the DSG gear selector? Are they even different?

So has anyone had their FL 230 baarp and snaarl during a DSG up shift? I’ve now seen a couple of car review videos on YouTube where they show the FL 230 (not 245) give out that cool exhaust note, I’d love to try and replicate this. Any hints or tips on how to do this? Press the VRS button on centre console > Select Sports Mode > Accelerate to redline? or would you need to be in manual mode? Cheers

Thank you for your informative reply juan27. Does the FL 230 and 245 have the same size front brakes as the Golf R? Not sure if the rear FL 230 brakes are vented discs or not either. Will go out and check shortly.

Thank you everyone for your input. Can anyone one please confirm, is the engine and turbo the same in the facelift 230 and 245? I’m assuming it’s just a tune that gets the additional power? in terms of running gear, the diff and 7 speed dsg is what I can see as the only difference. Any clarity on the above would be great.

You test drove the facelift 230 (169TSI)? My facelift 230 (169TSI) has DCC.

I was thinking the same thing. Surely those engine tweaks and mods are being blown out of the water?!?!?

Hi everyone First Time poster, long time lurker. Hoping to get some honest feedback and recommendations to help give me piece of mind. So I’ve had my vRS169 facelift with every option ticked for a few months now and absolutely love the car. For or some reason though I feel like I’m missing out on something on the vRS245. Now this could just be me having some sort of anxiety, overkill in thinking or being greedy in wanting the highest model in the Octavia range. So I’m now at a point where I am questioning myself, wondering if I have made the right decision. At the time of my purchase the 245 was yet to be released with no pricing available. It was anticipated the pricing difference would be up to 10k. I know there are some only minor differences between the two vRS models where I have tried to weigh up those options by researching this great forum space. It would be great to hear your advice on this. Thanks in advance.
