  1. Fault finally traced to be an intermittent connection failure on the boot latch. Took a month to identify and repair but all is good now.
  2. Thanks Adrian tried that but nothing that I could see was relevant to my issue.
  3. My Superb MK3 SEL is at the dealers due to a boot lid failure, the boot refuses to open fully in one motion, I need to press the key fob a few timeS or the actual boot lid operating button a number of times to get the boot to the fully open position, the garage have already replaced both operating struts and the boot sensor and controller but the problem persists. The issue has now been forwarded to Skoda's Technical dept as the problem is new to my local dealers and they are scratching their heads. Has anyone out there had similar issues with their Superb?
  4. Thanks I take your points on board. I have found that it doesn't matter how far away from the shops you park and even in a near empty car park some "numpty" will come along and park alongside. The magnets on the strips are only about 10 mm wide and only strong enough for a light but effective grip I have had the strips for a couple of months and used them only when in a tight parking space and so far no scratch marks.
  5. I use magnetic protectors bought on e bay for about £10, easyily stored in the boot and place them on the side of the car if needed. Look up "Xcellent Global Car Door Protection Removable Magnetic Car Door Guard Strip 2 Meter - Black D.I.Y. Kit M-AT007" on Amazon.Works for me ,nice and easy and cant go wrong at the price.
  6. I was told to improve connectivity as there was a loss of service in certain areas of the country.
  7. Yes my understanding is SOS for life of car and other services are annual subscription.
  8. This was introduced in August /September 2017 I have a September registered SEL.
  9. Service reception said that the fix improved connectivity on the SOS system, the unit with 3 buttons above the rear view mirror.
  10. Collected the car yesterday an lights are much improved, they go through a alignment procedure when switched on and do a "wiggle" for a couple of seconds, didn't do this before, the movement of the lights when cornering is now very noticeable particularly in sports mode and lights up all the areas you are heading towards. The fix didn't involve spare parts as I was initially told it was a "software update as per technically enquiry" from the dealer to Skoda. Incidentally there was a campaign mod carried out on the vehicle assist (SOS callout) function, campaign number is 91R2

  12. Having my lights fixed tomorrow at dealers as dip beam is set too low. Dealer advised me that Skoda are aware of this issue and have a fix in place that involves new parts. I will ask for more info when I am in the dealers . I have a 2017 SEL 1.4 TSI
