My 245 gets collected next week and has been off the road since the lease lapsed. I have a Cupra 290 lux Coming to replace but that’s delayed too. However I have the use of a 17 plate manual Golf R atm. I didn’t expect that it would be that different seeing as under the skin it’s broadly the same car. Wow was I wrong, much crisper turn in and better mid corner balance. Don’t miss DSG one bit the manual box is a joy. Suspension is non dcc and clearly shorter travel than the octy but the damping is way better. My octy has a tuning box so is a little healthier than stock but having 4WD is just brilliant as it just launches of the line in situations that would have you being gentle in 1/2/3 in the octy. Who else has sampled performance versions on the same platform and what are your thoughts ?

The difference between taking the front wheel off my bike and not. Tough choice but the deals on current 245’s are not there and it’s down on power 😎

Possibly my last post here, loved my nearly two years in the 245 it’s been great but the lease deals have switched to another vag product 16 weeks and counting. Gonna miss the boot space!

Morning all, My wifes yeti is due for renewal, and were hunting PCH deals again but don't really want to drive from essex to preston to pick up again. Does anyone have any recommendations for dealers in or around Essex that can get close to Simpsons PCH deals? thanks in advance. R

I’ll explain, I had just finished a 100km mtb race (bike goes straight in the back of the hatch.) so after racing for 5+ hours I was In no state to push on (nor was the traffic conducive.) so stuck it in eco with lane assist on and cruised home. Don’t worry normal service is now resumed.

Yes just down loaded the Skoda connect app (IPhone) inputted my details and got the code popped it in and it worked (tethered to my phone.) If advertised as with it then i feel Skoda may need to rectify! call to customer services coming up

I have three girls, the ONLY thing they were interested in was the wifi ! Oh and the ambient lighting (set to pink!) yes I know I can get a dongle but I'm sure i read somewhere that it came with a years free wifi... so yes to connect tablets /phones etc.
