  1. Haha close https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401057663632
  2. It’s got a North Wales plate but it’s a lease car and I’m up north!
  3. I've had the car for about 900 miles now and have to say I think it's absolutely brilliant. The ride is so smooth and the dampening is so nicely sprung it floats over bumps and pot holes like a luxury 4x4. I really enjoy driving it, the engine has enough grunt to overtake safely and put a smile on your face. The gear change is light (glad I got the manual) the steering is also light and lends itself to a laid back pleasant drive as the seats are extremely comfortable. For a sporty version some might say it's not very direct and pointy but I like that it isn't. The Golf R I had was far more of a firm ride and the M4 was jarring, it's a great contrast to the GT4 tbh. I've already done a couple of dump runs and helped a friend move house so the large boot space is a wonderful. Sat Nav works, the bluetooth connectivity is the best I've experienced in the last 5 years. I step in, switch the car on and my music is playing instantly. Well impressed. Love the colour too and had a few compliments on it. Yeah, well done Skoda I'm a fan, not sure if I'm going to mod anything on it now as it rides so well that even the Mrs drives it (she refuses to drive the GT4)! untitled-3.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr untitled-7.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr untitled-9.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr untitled-5.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr untitled-10.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr untitled-2.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr
  4. Cheers. Going to order some parts this weekend I think. Then just got to wait until March!
  5. Cheers Johnny, that looks like the set up I’m after. Where would I get a set of the 19”’s from do you know?
  6. That's a brilliant post! Thank you pist0nbr0ke Haha even took out today in the snow/sleet. Can't think of a more perfect two car garage to be honest. Just need a sticker for my porsche saying my other car is a skoda
  7. I'll check my lease and my insurance company will have to be notified. As long as I return it to stock it should be ok. It's the 230 version, don't need extra ponies with a porka sat in the garage
  8. Brilliant thanks for the replies guys. Yes it’s a lease, it’ll be my daily for work, kids trips to lakes, dump runs etc as I’ve got the GT4 as my weekend dream car (still pinching myself about that one) The full spec is very basic as I got a brilliant deal on the lease so I didn’t tick any options at all but here it is. Octavia estate 2.0L TSI vRS 5dr, Petrol, Metero grey, black design pack, 18” Gemini anthracite wheels, black cloth with red stitching. I don’t want to lower it much and maybe just adding 19 OEM wheels will achieve the results I’m after. It is a short term lease I understand that but if I like it I’ll extend the lease or even buy it at the end of the 2 year term. I tend to look after my cars so I won’t be treating it badly at all as a lease car and just want to make it look a little more purposeful with the removal of the arch gap. Thanks again for the suggestions, I really do appreciate it. Going to have a look at what VAG 19”s I could get and then maybe use the 18”s as winters.
  9. Wow, 110 views and not one reply. Maybe this isn't this place to put this or I'm asking all the wrong questions
  10. Hello guys, I've just ordered a new Octavia Estate 2.0 TSI vRS in Meteor grey with the Black pack on a 2 year lease deal. It's due to arrive sometime in March. I've just sold my BMW M4 Comp pack which had every option ticked and all M Performance carbon parts added was lowered with spacers and looked and drove brilliantly. untitled-10.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr However, I had the opportunity to buy a Porsche GT4, so I did! It's on another level next to the M4. untitled-6.jpg by Tom Gutteridge, on Flickr This will be my first Skoda and after reading reviews and opinions on this forum I'm pretty excited to get this new car and make it my own as it'll be a great daily work horse. My first question is does anybody have any experience with coilovers and spacers and the best make to get and people to do the work on it (preferable in the Northwest)? Secondly I'd like to keep the 18's it comes on and get some 19" or 20" wheels for summer. I don't want to drop the car to maxpower levels but I do want to get rid of the arch gap so it sits better. What wheel sizes/makes should I be looking at if anyone has experience with this? I kept everything OEM on the BMW but I'm guessing that Skoda don't do a set of performance adjustable springs or coilovers? Many thanks for any replies in advance and looking forward to contributing to the community. Tommy
