  1. Fully appreciate this...but an SD card is bareley noticable. Like I say, long shot but you never know!
  2. Evening all, long time no log in (I went German, 530d xdrive Msport touring) This is along shot.... I traded my 2017 Skoda Superb Sportline DSG in business grey in last August, guessing it will have gone to auction in Sept 2020. Reg MT67 ### I left an SD card inserted with all my old CDs on, still inserted in the glovebox. I would so looooove to get it back. If the new owner is on the forum then I'll gladly cover the costs. Also, if the new owner is here then you'll be glad to know I looked after her.. all main dealer services, still all 3 keys, boot bumper protector, new water pump, theres a detachable westfalia towbar in the boot too with electrics! Would love the help of the forum!
  3. Thanks all... No children were involved or injured in this incident... Just my interior!
  4. As you know, the weather is not pleasant today!... The car, late 2017 superb estate DSG sportline 190 estate (new screen version). Parked at home on the drive, went out to load it up and ALL windows are fully open for no apparent reason, the interior is p1ss wet through! What has cause all windows to open seemingly of their own accord? The car was locked when I left it, I have the only set of keys (on the side and in my pocket), I've not been on the app... Not happy!!! Thanks in advance x
  5. Evening all, long time no see; 20k of problem free enjoyable miles in the sportline DSG estate so far! Got a detachable Westfalia Towbar fitted as mentioned in a previous thread, been using it with a basic Thule 2 bike rack. I now need a three bike carrier, I'm looking at a 9403 and have one specific question; "will the book open when the unit is tilted?". If any members can answer this I'd be eternally grateful as I need to make a purchase tomorrow.
  6. Couple of days ago I received 4 emails to say thay my alarm had been triggered (all emails relate to the same event at 1308 hrs) staing that the alarm had been triggred due to activity on outer shell. I didn't pick the email up for about 1 hour but at the time I was only 50m from the car (in a n office with the windows open) and I'm sure I never heard an alarm. When I returned to the car, it seemed fine, no damage or anyting unusual, no messages in the car. Has anyone experienced similar? Are there any known faults or false alarms? Would the alarm have "gone off" if there was "activity on the outer shell" or would it only sound if entry was gained? thanks
  7. Appointment now booked for 8th may and they need it for 3 days, not impressed
  8. they are really good looking cars, especially when clean!... must get a pic or two of mine at some point.
  9. Kids have been saying for weeks that theres an echo in the car... I've been adamant that there wasn't, even got to the point where I was going to take my daughter to the quacks for an ear test Turns out they were right, for some reason I clapped in the car and herd it resounding around the car a millisecond later; turns out the "voice enhancement" function had been turned on Turned all the way up its like having a mic in the car, quite unexpected but usefull now if found what it is and what it does; have a play around folks, awesome feature with passengers in the car.
  10. haven't used mine in 5k miles. tried twice now.... to pull off from standing in 2nd in the ice... wouldn't let me. to shift into third when travelling down a steap bank to use the gearbox as brakes.... wouldn't let me. don't think i'll bother again but they look nice and might add value when it comes to move it on (a few years yet!).
  11. Pull up, get in the back seat, lower the rear split seat to access the dog(s), attach lead, take the dog(s) out of the rear door?
  12. Looking at a selection of cars & reading on here, I think a lot to f it is to do with the grille?...
  13. Had it off, separated the upholstered seat from the hatch, retrieved the missing clip but still can't get in it, sealed and no way to get in it ☹️
  14. Not a warranty issue apparently. The little hinge mounts do indeed push in... I've pushed the other one in too Need to get it off & opened up but no obvious ways to access it. Otherwise parts are £100 + vat + labour
  15. Just been to local dealer, nowt fixed and it's got to go back for a day... Headlights & wheel bearing housings :(
  16. Purchased some -40 degrees stuff today, unfortunately I've got to burn a few litres of prestone before I can top it up :( To get the nozzles working isn't easy, first physically removing the ice with the finger then balddering it with low temp de-icer
  17. wont let me select 2nd gear to pull off, bit ****ed off at that TBH. (190 DGS spotline estate Auto) ****ing useless this morning, couldn't even get out of the side streets.
  18. the 190 sport line isn't great in the snow, standard tyres admittedly... l switch from auto to manual which helps to keep the revs down. Most surprising thing today was the screenwash nozzles froze solic despite using 100% Prestone yellow (display read -6)
  19. Surely there is a moral (and legal?) obligation to issue a recall as soon as a problem is identified, regardless or parts being available or not?
  20. can change the frequency in settings, set mine to 1 in ten screen washes... don't know if you can do anything about the volume of liquid though.
  21. Apparently mine relates to headlight alignment (they didn't go into any more detail than that), booked in on Saturday.
  22. ever noticed if my glovebox is damped or not... but iuts a small capacity! I did only recently discover the passenger seat has a lidded storage facility underneath it though ...why neither of them are lockanble is beyond me though
  23. Link here to check for recalls https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ Typed my reg in (sportlin estate dsg 190 registered 31/10/17) and its flagged as outstanding recall as of 23/2/18 Any ideas?
  24. and since I've had it (4 weeks).... Dist and 2999 miles travel time 100 hrs ave speed 30 mph Consumption 46.3 mpg Pretty content for a big lump that pulls like a train!
