So one last question then can you have the box installed but switched off? Or do you have to completely remove ? How do you switch it off

Thanks for the contribution so far guys. I'm running a dsg, are there any concerns over damaging the box? To be honest I'm not in anyway an agressive driver but I am finding the vrs in standard form just lacking a bit when I do get the urge

Hi all. I've been scouring the forums and obsessively reading bit would like to put it out there for some real life experiences with the box I'm looking at putting a crd3 on the Octy. It's a 2016 vrs TDI. Now I've read great things, I've read negative things, particularly about the box causing them issues and limp mode issues. So I'm putting it out there for some honest ownership opinions, is it worth it or wait a while longer and go for a full remap ?

Evening all , I’ve been visiting this forum relentlessly over the last few months and am now happy to report I am the proud owner of a 2016 candy white VRS DSG with Pandoramic roof, Skoda extreme rims and 28k on the clock. first impressions......smiling all round ! A huge step from the 1.6 i30previously !! (Even if the 19’s are a tad firm)
