Which Fabia should I buy? 1.0tsi or 1.2tsi
Odie replied to Jimbob111's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
I'm not sure about Skoda's, but the brand new BMW's and fords we have at work are needing major engine work after 100k, these are cars that are having 100k put on them in 2-3 years. I think an engine lasting is more about luck than design. -

It was in the 1.4tsi seat that I saw it. I wasn't sure what other brands/vehicles/engines it was available on in other markets. -

Some versions of the old 1.2 and 1.4tsi would shut down a cylinder while cruising, id imagine someone had the idea of adding a slightly larger /re speced turbo and trying an engine permanently on 3 cylinders, After then building a 3 cylinder block you'd have a further increase in performance, due to reduced engine friction. For reference, the 1.0tsi produces a similar amount of power to the original MK1 golf gti -
I use an app called drivvo, enter mileage and how much fuel you put in every time you fill up and it keeps track for you. According to that I'm averaging 39mpg. I'm just amazed that on a motorway cruise I get 55-60mpg

Hi all, Ive just bought a pre-registered 2017 ex display fabia 3 se-l, but im a bit confused about the specifications. It has a start button, so does that mean it has kessy? or is the start button standard on the se-l? How can i tell if kessy is fitted? Its not locking/unlocking via the kessy method. Im struggling to find out the exact specifications of the car, ie what extra options it had fitted. Its a showroom car but alas it doesnt have everything.
