  1. *****SOLD - Am trading it in on Friday ******
  2. Okay....it's been a week since I first posted the ad and I was clearly being a bit optimistic with the price, so I'll drop it to a more realistic .... £4795 ono.
  3. It has covered 92,000 fully documented miles and has sailed through every MOT with not even an advisory notice. It is MOT’d ‘til 18th March 2018. I have cherished this vehicle for the past 4 and a half years and have full receipts for virtually every penny spent. It had one previous owner from new. Immaculate factory spec vehicle with the only addition being a pair of Philips DRL’s. It also has auto-headlights and rain-sensing wipers. It has been garaged every night (when not at work - 2 nights per week) and has religiously been hand-washed and polished by me regularly and treated with Jetseal 109 Ultra-High Gloss Protectant. The timing belt and water pump were changed at 55,863 miles and the battery was replaced at 68,396 miles. It has been serviced every 10k and has just had another oil and filter change – again all fully documented. All 4 tyres were replaced at 82,467 miles with a set of Vredestein Ultrac Satin Giugaro 225/45x17’s which are still like new with 7mm of tread all round. The original spare is also like new, having only covered around 200 miles. The alloys are virtually immaculate, have never been kerbed and have been cleaned regularly with Wonder Wheels. All 4 brake calipers were coated with high-gloss lacquer when I got the car and still look like new. The rear suspension bushes were changed last September, just prior to the new tyres being fitted and the rear wiper motor was replaced with a brand new Skoda one in January. The aircon was re-gassed approximately 2 and a half years ago. The vehicle comes with 2 x keys and I will throw in the private reg. plate too, as I have my eye on another one. (This alone is worth in the region of £1,000 !!) Everything works as it should…quite simply it has been the best car I have owned in the past 35 years. You will not find a better one. Asking £5,295 ovno. Phil on 07740 870302 Wakefield, West Yorks – 1 min from M1 junc 39.
  4. According to his profile, slimbo1978 hasn't been on here for 3 and a half years, so you might be waiting a while for an answer !!
  5. Someone I know had an old '02 plate Toyota Yaris a couple of years ago and it broke down outside Halfords with an electrical issue, so she pushed it into Halfords. They supposedly checked it out and told her that she needed a new battery, starter motor AND alternator and the total cost would be around £350 . I told her to take it to my bro-in-laws garage instead so she did and he established that it was just the earth lead from the battery that had corroded through, so replaced that for her. Total cost £40 !!!!!
  6. I first noticed it about 2 years ago, but as it only happened occasionally and wasn't very loud, I decided to leave it and let it develop. It has become slightly louder over recent weeks, hence my reason for posting it on here. However, I did almost 200 miles in it yesterday and when stationary could hardly hear it and this morning it didn't do it, albeit I haven't had the aircon on for a couple of weeks now.
  7. Cheers Roger...I don't think mine is aircon related though as it does it regardless of whether the aircon is on or off, and sounds to be more from down the back of the engine, I think. It hasn't been as noticeable the last few days and I am wondering if that is because of the drop in the outside temperature ?? It's forecast to come warm again next week, so time will tell, I suppose.
  8. *** UPDATE *** So, I got around to investigating further yesterday and took the radio out to see if I could pinpoint the source of the noise and I am now satisfied that the noise is definitely NOT coming from there, it IS coming from the engine bay after all. Having got my head under the bonnet again, I can just hear the noise and it seems to be coming from the back of the engine somewhere (although it is still loudest inside the car) but I still can't pinpoint the exact source :(
  9. Anyone got any ideas ?? It's definitely some kind of rotational noise, but what is there behind the dashboard that could be making it ??
  10. It's not very loud on the video so you will probably have to turn your speakers up.
  11. I've tried it with the radio both on and off and it still does it :( If someone can tell me how to compress (?) the video file then I will try and attach it.
  12. I usually don't have the aircon on, but it still does it whether or not it's on or off :(
  13. No...it's definitely a Wuh...Wuh...Wuh sound, more like a bearing/grating type noise ??
  14. I've noticed for a while now that when the car gets warmed up I get a strange Wuh....Wuh....Wuh.. noise coming from the centre console. It's definitely not the fan as I've tried turning that off and I've been underneath and it's definitely not coming from the engine, flywheel or gearbox. It appears to be coming from somewhere behind the area of the radio and only slightly increases in tempo when I rev the engine. Anyone got any ideas ?? (I've recorded it on my phone but as it's a 34MB video file, I can't upload it on to here )
  15. Before you go forking out for expensive new parts, have you checked that it isn't the common loose centre-bolt issue on the compressor ??
  16. Would say they are more Graphite than Silver, but TBF they don't look too bad...glad you ditched the black ones though
  17. The blue is fine but what's with the pink trim ????? And whilst the wheels are NOT BLACK, I still think they would look better in silver.
