Hi I agree with you - not be hard on gas whe engine is cold - but don't know why mentioned in this thread. With the car I asked - service said looks like piston failure. So for me it is clear...I will not buy it. Thank you.

Probably turbo is making this noise. Turbo is charging engine even if is cold and you are gently on gas - as in my case.

Hi, it is the sound which starts in 3rd second of the movie. Yes, somethink like vibration and no, not with revs. Sound is still the same. I watched toady sound comes also earlier around 2000revs and depends more on gas pedal position. The colder engine the noisier sound.

Hi, your help would be appreciated. I'm going to buy early 2014 Skoda Octavia RS with 69000 on the clock. What bothers me is this strange sound from engine when accelerating. Engine has to be cold and it starts every time at 2500rpm. As soon as oil meets 50-60 C engine is ok. I dont think this is the west-gate-clip think. Do you know this sound from your car? Thank you.
