  1. Dsg seems a populat topic here so just thought id share https://www-express-co-uk.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1190969/Volkswagen-Audi-Skoda-recall-news-affected-model-list-news/amp?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCKAE%3D#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.express.co.uk%2Flife-style%2Fcars%2F1190969%2FVolkswagen-Audi-Skoda-recall-news-affected-model-list-news
  2. I just put mine into the glovebox, stuck unit to the sude with sticky pads
  3. Update, it now shows distance to next service. Probaly took aboit 200 miles.Im sure there used to be 2 items shown before bit i can live with that. I also seem to have now got the option to reset service interval cointdown by holding the odometer reset button!! Press and hold and now get the message "reset y/n" . Mustve turned something off or on with vcds
  4. As title, has anyone managed to activate this on a mk2 superb? The delay for when youve opened the tailgate using the dedeicated boot unlock button, close it and it locks imediately, prompting panic as to where your keys are Some forums suggest there "may" be a 20sec delay buried deep down somewhere that can be turned on for some skodas
  5. Hi guys, serviced the superb the other day(friday) and reset the ESI according to rosstech youtube vid, using genuine vcds Also, because their vid said it cant be done, and Im a bloke, I tried the reset SRI option on the main screen. Which also works ,populated info and registered it as reset. Noe ive only covered about 70 miles since, but service info is still blank. As in " service in ---- days or --- miles" . Is this correct, Im thinking that service indicator mileage is generated in 100's and I just havent done enough yet. Thanks in advance Dave
  6. Sitting here watching the car get washed and noticed backbox look a bit low. Before i get down and dirty is this normal? There isnt any banging from the rear end and tailpipes look level. Cheers
  7. Hi guys, toying with the idea of a used towbar,as I usually fit one to my cars. Looking on the bay ,often see ones adevertised as fitting the Superb ,but also for (maybe, cant recall exactly) passat or A4? Is this correct or just misleading advertising . Obviously parts are shared across the VW range but I wouldve thought towbars are much more vehicle specific Ta
  8. Are you there tommorow evening? I work in lower belevedere and will be passing about 2030 if you are. I can pit them in car if thas anygood to you
  9. Hi, really dont know ,im guessing they probaly should if you have the little holes in top of doorframe for the locating pegs . Im in dartford if youre localish to try
  10. Thanks for reply, ive had the tailgate trim off a couple of times for wiper motor. I guess the brake light then pushes out from inside?
  11. Bought in error, they dont fit a 2014 superb estate !! Genuine skoda part with tighening tool and keys £40 what i paid for them. Ptefer collect in person or meet up somewhere. Im dartford based Thanks Dave
  12. Had exactly this on a 1.9 galaxy. Oil cooler was letting oil into water resulting in the sludge in expansion tank. Get compression test done before changing engines. Another thing worth checking, after a run are your coolant hoses rock hard? If so headgasket is allowing gases into water jacket and pressurising.
  13. Thanks for that , i saw that thread when i googled this subject. Just wondered if it had changed since it refers to 2011 car. Also seen on the bay touchup kits sold by year, tho this could be BS selling . Might order a touchup in that code and see what it looks like
  14. Hi all, is there a code for alloy wheel paint? Or do we just hope the touchup is a good match 2014 with 18"trinity wheels Thanks
  15. Update Changed both fronts today,ns a bit rough with slight play,o/s , well, knackered!!! Rough and play in it. Whirring noise has gone so thats good. A bit of trouvle with locking nuts, adaptor slipping but got it off. Skoda dealer could supply new adaptor (correct for all wheels) with 1 bolt for about £32 or a complete new set for £37!!!!!! Work that one out. Got home and went to change to new bolts and adaptor slips in two of them. Sourced what i hope is correct part , has the right letter stamped on it and looks rigjt so hopefully its the right one and i dont get a puncture in the mean time
  16. So according to Silver's vin checker ive got 1za front ,312mm and 1kj 282mm rear Many thanks guys
