  1. New battery solved one key, the other replaced under warranty. Will now change batteries every year. Can't say I am that impressed with Kessy, especially as it is vulnerable security wise.
  2. My 20 month Karoq had a fob failure, not cured by new battery Dealer said key dead and has ordered a new one. Meanwhile spare fob has now failed and I am wondering whether I have failed sensor issue as well. Very frustrating. I have worked out how to open car with key (alarm goes off) and start engine by pressing start button then holding key over button until ignition comes on (back of fob to button) then press button. Clearly a short term solution.
  3. For the record my Karok is a January 2018 1.5 TSI DSG. It was probably the first on the road in Devon and has now done 20k miles. Engine and gearbox have been smooth and totally reliable although I always turn off stop/start which to my mind is dangerous. I recently completed a 2600 mile round trip to Portugal where the car was faultless a a real pleasure to drive for up to 10 hours a day. My only issue is I struggle to get past 40 mpg, but I don't hang about either! Great car.
  4. I have done 19500 miles and car has barely used a drop of oil. 1.5 is not quietest in the world but does the job. I wish 2 LITRE TSI had been an option when I bought mine
  5. Just did 2600 mile round trip to Portugal. ACC ought to be programmable for right hand driving and vica versa. It's not so first few times after changing sides of the road it will not overtake until you accelerate past. As described, can be alarming and dangerous first time around and option to change in the same way for lights would be of great benefit
  6. Blank band is so annoying, spoils the large screen Image. HA ha, perhaps I should imagine its the sky
  7. Very happy with my Karok (12k miles now). When I ordered it I decided not to upgrade to Columbus which I had on my Octavia as the cost was silly and the screen size on my 1.5 SEL is a good size. However two issues with the Amundsen. Firstly on dual carriageways and motorways the system quite regularly wants to take me off at a junction and immediately rejoin! Bizarre. Secondly when system is fully zoomed out there is an annoying blank band at the top of the screen, which goes when zooming in. Am I alone with these issues?
  8. Too clever for you Janner, you're like me obviously wanting to get on. I also live in Devon and try and go to M25 as little as possible. Very useful too on busy single carriage roads, very relaxing
  9. I specified ACC on my 1.5 SEL and it's brilliant. Drove over 100 miles recently on motorway and never touched brake or accelerator. One tip, is set driving mode to individual and select ACC sports mode. This way the car will accelerate more quickly past slower cars when they pull over. In economic mode acceleration is painfully slow!
  10. Do you have drive mode settings? I use individual mode on my SEL so I can select sports mode settings for steering which improves matters a lot.
  11. My Octavia 1.4 DSG averaged over 40 mpg over 44000 miles and never used oil either. I have run in the Koraq progressively, but do admit to being a spirited driver and normally cruise using ACC well in excess of 70! The shape of the Koraq l ends me to believe it can never be as economical as the Octavia.
  12. I amnow up to 2600 miles, and long term consumption 34.9. Managed to get 39.4 on recent 450 mile round trip. Still hoping for better, but am prepared to put up with it as car is good in other respects.

Regular wipe down best solution. Should be better in Summer. I do live in rural area with muddy roads! Car a success otherwise
  14. You will have no regret. I left black leather 3 cars ago. Everyone admires the lighter colour.
