  1. Morning all, I have a problem with my 1.8tsi which I have narrowed down to 2 components. The variable valve solenoid and the EGR valve. Does anybody on here want to earn some pennies by getting them then changing them both for me and then clearing the codes from the car. I'm located in Aldershot Hampshire. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Regards Redmonsta
  2. I bought the car 4 years ago last October Always serviced by the local Skoda dealer We think now that it is the PCV valve Wheres the best place to buy them online? Cheers Red
  3. Good afternoon Where is the best place to buy a new PCV valve for my sons Octavia? regards Red
  4. Good afternoon chaps The Skoda 1.8tsi that I gave my soon started to play up on his way from home the other day. He went back to the depot and the mechanic there only had a brief moment to look at it and make a quick diagnosis. He thinks it may be the inlet manifold flaps not working correctly. I've just had a look at it and it doesn't sound too bad when running but it lacks power when driving. We will of course be taking it to a garage soon. But does anyone know what it might be and how much is a new manifold
