  1. Thanks for the answers, two additional questions? 1. Is it a problem that I will add 0w 20FS IV while I don't know what was the original oil ? How much should I add? 2. Is it better to top it up or to change it altogether since it's the first change? (I have read that it's better to anticipate the first oil change because of the small debris which accumulates on the first runs of a new car)
  2. I have an 1,5 TSI manual MY19 (Jan '19/around 7500km insofar). A month ago the oil level seemed fine but yesterday the oil signal came up and indeed the oil level is low. The service menu says that an oil change is due in 18900km/340days and a service in 22600/430 days. Should I just add a little oil or go for a full swap? If yes, what would you suggest in either case for a mixed cycle mainly city and ring roads in above 0°C winter/30°C summer climate? Thanks for your time!
  3. First is simple Cruise Control in which one sets a velocity, which is being maintained automatically independently of other traffic. Second is Adaptive Cruise Control where one sets a velocity and distance and the car uses radar to maintain them, increasing and decreasing according to traffic. Two sub-options: one can maintain max 160km/h and another one max 210.
  4. 1,5 manual MY19 here. This also can happen in my Karoq, independently of the temperature, when I don't keep the revs above 1000rpm.
  5. I do not have a wireless charging phone box and I was wondering whether someone had a suggestion for something fitting inside the compartment or something nice that can be attached to the airvents.
  6. I created this thread worried about my Karoq 1,5 TSI manual waiting to be delivered. After a month and my first big trip I must say that I have not encountered any kangaroo behaviour mentioned in the other threads. Although I was expecting it, although I have actively tried to force its appearance, I have not yet experienced it. Indeed the motor does not "pull" in low rpm; it has a flat spot when it falls under 1200rpm and one needs to be careful not to use e.g. the second gear when slowly coasting a roundabout waiting for an exit. In that case one can floor then gas but simply see no acceleration. Or when pulling from a stop and turning uphill, be more firm with the gas pedal or risk stalling if it falls below 1000 especially with the start/stop active. I would have preferred a more aggressive approach from low rpm but I think this is the price to pay for the new gas emissions. In any case it is not a big problem and certainly can adjust easily to it.
  7. Adaptive LED with Light&Rain Assist, front&rear parking sensors, rear camera, family pack, crew protect&extra airbags, varioflex, ACC, folding mirrors, colour matrix and RearTrafficAlert/BlindSpotDetect, electric boot. Only thing I would not spec is the rear camera since I find that mirrors and sensors would do a better job. Other options were judged and deemed not useful for my needs.
  8. I have been following, anxiously, this thread since the beginning awaiting delivery. Finally I've got my hands on my manual 1,5 tsi week48 build I have not faced any hopping/kangarooing but I do have noticed a weak first gear. While I can work the clutch and manoeuvre brilliantly in my underground garage, I see that I need to rev over 2k rpm when starting from stop, e.g. waiting the stoplight. It reminds me of the behaviour some described in early '18 deliveries of needing to over-rev. Also it tends to stall on inclines. While not pleasant, it certainly isn't a deal breaker and not as grave as I feared; just needing to work on clutch and gas a bit more diligently. Plus, coming from '04 A4 and Yaris, I have no idea whether this is to be expected from these new fuel-minded engines. Just my two cents after so much reading all of these months.
  9. No, I am serious and trying to figure out if it is software related to wlpt or flat spot some reported on MY18 cars or it is mechanical.
  10. As per title: is there anyone NOT having the infamous kangarooing of the 1,5 TSI manual?
  11. Start&Stop is about emmisions and not about economy so no Robert the Bruce but Jeaq Questeu for you
  12. Sir you insult us gravely by implying that Skoda Greece cannot be so incompetent. Why, we can reach new heights that you lads beyond the Channel cannot even fathom; Sir I had to peruse Skoda's across the continent to find what is the difference between Family Pack and Family Pack Plus or Crew protect and Crew Protect Plus because officially they had no idea ! That's why I am asking here, I've already ordered a 1,5 TSI with various options and wanted to be sure as I wait patiently my 5 months.
  13. Regarding the manual 1,5 TSI, in the greek (but also italian) configurator the optional Blind Spot Detect appears in a thumbnail together with the Rear Traffic Alert thumbmail as if they were bundled together but this is not stated explicitly. Standalone Rear Traffic Alert does not exist as an option but still I could find it explicitly included only in the DSG "Safety Assistance Package". Does anybody know if Rear Traffic Alert is bundled with Blind Spot Detect or is it a DSG only option?
  14. This is one reason I am afraid of getting a DSG because I live in a major city with huge unregulated parking problems. Can you please try again with HillHold function, (I think this is what you refer as Park Brake but do correct me if mistaken), disabled because this is the only solution suggested in various fori ?
