  1. I ended up changing all injectors, canshelf buckets and loom. All is well now, although I do believe it was an injector at fault
  2. Would this cause an intermittent fault? I would have thought if it was down to cam wear the misfire would be constant?
  3. Hi all, been having a few few problems with the fabia! It’s been misfiring quite badly when started after sitting for a few hours, especially when it’s cold out. Finally it’s stored a fault on cylinder 3 for intermittent misfire. This still doesn’t tell me a great deal just narrows down the possibilities. I’m also getting a lot of fluctuation in the boost gauge when the car is misfiring. A strong diesel smell, and quite a lot of noise from the cylinder head. I have tried to put to put a video up of the boost gauge and the noise but it won’t let me upload it if anyone has seen this before and can point me in the right direction before I have it all apart would be appreciated. thanks Andy
  4. There is slight wear on the cam lobes couldn’t see the buckets very well but assuming that that’s what it is definitely sounds like it’s for the head and can hear it through the exhaust
  5. Hi all, new here! Had my fabia VRS about 4 months and it’s great fun until recently... from cold the car starts okay but immediately “misfires” which lasts until it has a bit of temperature in it. whilst it’s “missing” there is quite a loud clatter from the head. I know these can have the problem with the cam lobes wearing and putting a hole in the lifters but wouldn’t this be apparent all the time not just when it’s cold? Thanks in advance
