Thanks for the tips, I have VCDS so I can look but, which section of VCDS are the BT Module and Gateway found so I can check? if you can help, and it sorts it, I will owe you a beer if you ever come to Basingstoke in the UK!!!

Can any body help upgraded to dab columbus, no issues and all working fine but the maxidot defaults to the phone settings screen everytime. I can naviagte the phone settings with the steering wheel buttons but I can’t exit to the other options (MFD, audio etc) if i set a new naviagtion destination on the columbus I can quickly choose MFD or audio on the maxidot but if the phone rings it gets stuck again i have reset the columbus, disconnected the bluetooth module overnight but nothing works columbus is running V15 maps and 5238 SW driving me mad so any help appreciated

Gotta be the fuse, can’t think of any other reason

I had my front socket dead and found it wasn't actually connected. the rear is easy to check, just gently pull the surround out to check its connected, the front means removing the ashtray unit which is a pain in the ar*e

Superb mk2 elegance estate 4x4 is there a way to reduce the number of wipes when washing the windscreen? I find 4 is too many and smears the screen thanks to anyone who can help

I am just about to replace my non dab Columbus with a DAB version so the old one is up for sale in good condition, updated to V15 maps NO CODE- I just got the car and there was no code included. I am sure someone can sort the code out, I think Rustynuts can do it collection from Basingstoke, no postage, sorry

Rustynuts sounds good, what are we looking at cash wise and how would this work, im in Basingstoke so you are a long way from me. I can’t be without the sat nav due to work so I would need to get the new unit and send mine to you, maybe I could pay full price to you then you pay me when my unit arrives? I assume the voice control, steering wheel controls etc will still work if I swappped over and how do I get the unit out? I have a mk3 folf which was easy but cant see how the columbus comes out cheers mark

I have a 2011 superb estate with a columbus system, it works well and does what I need however I do high mileage for work and want to get DAB my question is this, will a window ariel work well enough with a heated windscreen and if so, can I mount it vertically on one edge to avoid the heating elements? so, if anyone knows or has a DAB unit available, I would be grateful. Yes, might be a dodgy cable but it does charge

The MDI box is not greyed out, I can select it but it inly allows AUX as the connection available, very odd

Hi all, hopefully someone might be able to help i just got a superb mk2 elegance 2.0tdi 140 bhp estate with every toy except the power tailgate. I have a columbus head unit and an MDI socket in the armrest. On the head unit the MDI button only shows up as AUX and if I connect to the aux socket I get music from an iphone. my question is I thought the MDI would allow me to use my iPhone for music and be able to control on the headunit but the socket is only charging the phone and not registering it on the Columbus any help would be great, it seems the mdi is not working right Thanks
