Thanks. It's an estate. Now I just need to find someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to VCDS, as the fella I went to didn't have a clue how to program the new unit, he told me it was incompatible

Thanks, I don't have the output from the old CAN Bus unit, but I do have the code that was generated, is that what I need to use to create the 3-byte one? Are there any online resources/guide for doing this. I'm beginning to think that the guy I went to had little idea what he was doing, at least not "outside the box"!

the issue is (I think) that the new unit 3 bytes and not 6 bytes like the original.

Are there any VCDS owners in the Trafford / Manchester area who could please help me with copying the settings from my existing CAM control unit to a new one? I've just had my fingers burnt with a local guy I found on ebay who told me my new unit was incompatible, but still charged me anyway. Thanks

Can anyone confirm that the can bus unit 7N0 907 530 AG should work with a 2006 plate please? The guy who tried to code it said the functionality was different and it said it was incompatible with the vehicle, but I'm a bit skeptical about his level of knowledge.

So, I got one of these, but the bloke I went to couldn't program it as it was reporting as incompatible with my car. He still charged me, so I'm £50 out of pockets, have to return this Cam unit, and still left with a chronic battery issue 😞

Long time since an update, but it would appear that I am experiencing the dreading "battery drain" issue, and will have to change the CAN BUS Gateway Control Unit.
