Bear in mind it was for 3 years but yeah ive found it cheaper and hes not come back to me with a discount. Found it for £359 and £150ish for alloys. Loving the car - just not loving cleaning alloys again :-(

Hi all, Just picked up my SEL (very happy). Dealer offered scratch and scuff protection for around £400 (according to him it covers up to 30cm scratches) and £250 for alloy cover. The youtube videos he sent didnt seem to mention 30cm scratches - what are people's opinion on dealer offered services like this? Naturally i was given no real time to think about it so im mulling it over tonight. Thanks, Paul.

I've just had an update for my delivery after being issued with a 23rd July date initially. Current date is Week 12 (19th March) and estimate handover week 17 (23rd April). Needless to say I'm very happy with the improved delivery estimate.

How does the delivery to Home work? Does it arrive on a transport with 0 miles or does someone from the dealer drive it? And how much extra?

Yikes - that's not promising. I wouldn't have even bothered with a deposit if late July was the eta. I'll give it a month to see if there are any changes, then back to the drawing board Maybe a second hand Tiguan, or an Ateca from the forecourt. Shame as imho its by far the comfiest and quietest ride out of the Ateca/CX-5/Sportage/Peugeot 3008 bunch.

I placed my order for a 1.5 SE L This week (Petrol Blue) only to be told a provisional date Mid-Late June, with a handover W/C 23rd July. Inital dates just before I placed the order was end of April. Needless to say I'm not best pleased, but have been advised the date *will* move forwards. If it doesn't move forward significantly over the next month I'll probably end up cancelling. I get it that its beyond the dealer control, but waiting nearly 7 months for a new car is a bit ridiculous. Hopefully the second factory will be ramping up production :-|
