  1. Looks like I need to get my brakes looked at then... i know it had all filters and oil done but no mention of further detail
  2. My new (to me) Vrs has pretty flabby brakes tbh. Just been serviced though so all should be ok but I’ll get it checked as they don’t feel as sharp as I was expecting
  3. Would be multiple wires wouldn’t it as each switch has two?
  4. Switches probably if not fuses. Mine gone too
  5. Genius. That worked. At least motor is ok. Must be switch or wire. Thanks
  6. No I’ll give that a go. Just hold the lock button down?
  7. Hi all, The electric window switch in my car seems faulty. It will control the passenger window fine and lowered the drivers window but now it is stuck down and won’t rise up again which is annoying. I wondered if this likely to be the switch or the wire that controls the motor raising. When you push the switch down you hear the motor engage but it stops as it’s already down. When you pull it up it doesn’t do anything at all.
  8. Ok I’ll make sure they get checked. We have a good Skoda, VW Indy very close by so I’ll take it to them for a once over.
  9. Decided to go for it after much research. Picking it up tomorrow and taking it straight to Tesco for a feed of Momentum! It has a good 3 month warranty so I’ll drive it with some spirit for a few weeks to see if anything shakes off so to speak then take it to Skoda for a diagnostic check. Want to make sure all software updates are done and if there is anything else flagged up. It’s been serviced but not by Skoda for 2 years so this, I think, is a good idea.
  10. Ordered NGK 2667 plugs from what I read on here. Are those the best ones? Slightly concerned that ‘my’ car is a CAVE but given it had a new engine fitted in 2014 could it be the other type? God this is getting confusing
  11. Yes I’ve driven it and it drives fine. Well as well as can be tested in 15 mins. Ive bought the ngk plugs on amazon. Can get a Skoda Indy near me to fit. Sure they will know the car. Can soon find out. If I buy it I’ll want to keep it for a good while all being well
  12. Ok thanks George. The dealer has offered to replace the plugs. I’ll let him know which ones to use. It’s just had oil and all filters done. I will try and get 6 months warranty from him too for free for peace of mind. Do you think the lack of early history will make it harder to sell on in the future if I want to?
  13. So there is no service book. A replacement is being requested but the service history on the new engine is patchy at best. I’m think walking away at this point which is a shame as it’s a great little car
