  1. Hi guys, I am just in the process of replacing the wiper motor. Does anyone know how to remove the cover in the picture? I removed the screwes and there is a play in the cover now, but it still won't come off for me, no matter what side I push/pull. Thank you
  2. Hello, Thank you for welcoming, I am in Co. Kerry
  3. Thank you for the response and a links. You are probably right , it just looks that something is wrong there:
  4. Hi, I just bought a 08 Fabia 1.9 tdi and it looks that the pads on the front only cover part of the discs, as if disc was 288 mm and a pad was made to fit the disc of a smaller diameter. Both Discs don't look good and aren't great on this car comparing to VW Touran, so I am going to replace them along with the fluid. My question is - would calipers be the same for a smaller or wider pads,in other words - whoever put the smaller pads made a mistake by ordering wrong parts, or the wider pads just wouldn't fit and they had to go with the narrow ones? Thank you
  5. Hi Skoda lovers, I just purchased a second run around car. It's a Fabia 3, 1.9 TDI PD with 134000 miles on it. It feels a bit rougher and noisier than our Touran, but I guess I will get used to it. Car requires some attention in front suspension, possibly steering rack department as I can clearly hear some rattles on the bad surface. Rear wiper isn't working and a car pulls slightly to the left (typical for that year as I already discovered on this forum). Don't want to think about the clutch yet, but have a feeling that the SMF conversion isn't far. Although I am capable of doing most of the maintenance tasks myself apart from the electrics, clutches and timing belts, I am taking it to the mechanic to have it inspected and diagnosed. As for now going to look dipper into the Fabia's forum to see if I could find some answers to my early questions. Thank you
