  1. No I definitely had to give them a nudge. Even though the dealer was supposedly sorting the issue I still raised the issue with Skoda, that way I knew it would get a case manager and the dealer would get pressure from both sides. In the end I think it was the dealer who asked Skoda to match their come station offer. Rich
  2. Hi MJI I have had something similar to this. When i picked mine up i noticed that the bonnet was dented. Probably happened in transit but was missed by the dealers PDI. Dealer tried to do a smart repair, but want possible because of the size of dents. They then offered to bring the car in to have the bonnet filled and re-sprayed. At this point I dug my heels in and insisted on a new bonnet and a proper bodyshop paint job. They eventually agreed. This was done last week, and it looks like a new car finally. But I have also managed to get £500 compensation (£250 from the dealer and the same from Skoda UK) to cover the inconvenience, hassle, back and forth to the dealer, and general bad feeling about my "new" car. So It's worth insisting that they do a proper body shop repair, and give you a courtesy car (of a similar model). One thing to make sure you get is a written confirmation that any repair will not impact the warranty of your "new" car, and if you have taken the Body Care insurance then you need confirmation that the repair is carried out to their standard. 3. Just seen this post, I'm in a similar "battle" with my dealer at the moment. When I picked up my car I spotted 4 dents in the bonnet that were missed on the dealers PDI..... not sure how they missed them but that's a different story. I assume they were caused on the transporter. The dealer said he could get them repaired by Paintless Dent Removal but their dent guy took one look and said it would require filling and spraying. The dealer then tried to get me to send it to their body shop. I refused and asked for a new bonnet. I'm now in limbo driving around in a "new" car with a dented bonnet because they wont commit to a new bonnet. It has been raised to Skoda customer care but this has so far only had the effect of slowing things down (tbh they have been pretty useless). Have you asked for any compensation? I am, as your new car will effectively be a damaged repair?

I had my 10am collection cancelled at 8:30am the same day, so could be worse! I at least got a courtesy car out of them.

After a long wait I collected my Karoq this evening too. 1.5 DSG SEL in Quartz Grey, with heated screen, spare wheel, electric boot, and Phone box. Firstly the Phone box was not fitted because if the issues with signal boosters etc. But they gave me a refund for this so no big deal. Discovered a couple of small dents in the bonnet thay we're missed during the PDI, the dealer has promised to get these rectified. I was due to pick it up on Friday but was informed on Friday morning that it hadn't arrived, nothing like a bit of notice. But they did sort me out with a brand new Superb 2.0 TSI. for the weekend.......which was fun. As for delivery time I have put my time line below...definitely not the best, but not the worst. Ordered 18th Feb. Quoted 12 weeks Unconfirmed build wk16 Unconfirmed build wk25 Unconfirmed build wk21 Confirmed build wk21 Built 25th May Arrived at Emden 1st June Departed Emden 18th June Arrived Grimsby 19th June Due at dealer 25/06 Collection arranged for 29/07 Arrived at dealer 02/07 Collected 03/07 Total time 19 weeks

I'm in exactly the same boat.....excuse the pun. Mine has been at Emden since Friday 1st. Spoke to Skoda on chat today, and they said its normally 7-10 days and mine is now 8 days (working days). Dealer said that if it gets to 10 days it becomes the priority. Not holding my breath either.

I ordered mine in the 18th Feb. Had no build date from the dealer but when I spoke to Skoda yesterday they told me BW25!!!!!! (Unconfirmed). So much for the 12 week delivery the dealer told me when i ordered

Hi I also ordered mine from Milton Keynes on 18th Feb. The salesman told me 12 weeks, but has never given me a build week (probably because they are only ever unconfirmed until about a week before the build starts). He phones me every week and, and every week tells me that nothing is confirmed but the 12 weeks should still be right!!? I did however contact Skoda via email and by the online chat, worryingly they both gave me different order numbers, one quoting an unconfirmed BW16 and one BW20, now I'm totally confused!

I ordered mine on the 18th Feb, so a week and a bit before you, I spoke to Skoda today and have an "unconfirmed BW16" which matches what the dealer told me about delivery being 12 weeks. Your BW18 sounds about right.
  14. Yes that is Quartz grey. That Karoq is the ex Demo at Lancaster Skoda in Milton Keynes. It's the car I had my test drive in and why I ordered mine in Quartz grey
  15. Thanks OldKaroq place mine in Feb so not too concerned I haven't had a date yet. Cheers
