  1. Sorry to hear that Rick. Have you been told your build date? Day 24 sounds like you might be getting awfully close. I haven't used the app yet so I'm not sure how it compares as a trip computer. I really do need to get it set up though. Michaelski thanks for the tips on changing the time. I must admit I was disappointed that I couldn't pick my car up last Friday (couldn't get the time off work) but consoled by the fact that the dealer would need to sort changing the time before I picked it up on Monday! I've copied and pasted your instructions into an email so I can find them again later this year. I'm still figuring out all of the buttonsand checking whether any features are different to what I expected. I was relieved to find a light in the boot though haven't tested it in the dark yet. I did notice that the handbag hook on the passenger side simply isn't there anymore but wouldn't have used it anyway. Aside from that, everything appears to be as expected. I've been having refresher driving lessons for the last few weeks as I've been off the road for a while. The new car is quite different from my instructor's Hyundai i10 but we took the Citigo out for a drive together yesterday and he was very impressed, not to mention jealous of my heated seats (is this a man thing? Every man who has seen it seems to fixate on the heated seats). The brakes are far better for me than the i10 which I found too sensitive. The only thing I miss when comparing the two is the creep function. I hadn't realised how reliant I had been on it until I took my foot off the brake in the Citigo and it didn't move. I saw lots of complaints about the Citigo ASG and admittedly you do feel the gears changes a lot more than the Hyundai but by the time I got home (20 minutes away) I had already learned to anticipate the gear changes and lift my foot off the accelerator while it changed which made it very smooth.
  2. Morning fellow binnaclegaters, just picked up the new toy. Three instrument cluster as promised by the dealer. Chuffed to bits with the new car. Just need to get it home in one piece now.
  3. Evening all I've just had a message from the dealer to say my car has been delivered to them and should be ready for pick up in a week. I'm sorting out insurance but I've realised that I don't know if the car has an alarm or an immobiliser. Does anybody know? It's an SE L model.
  4. I dared to ask the dealer about the binnacle out of curiosity more than anything. He was bewildered by the online configurator. He's had two come in this week without the maxi dot display option. They both had 3-instrument binnacles with a white on black display. As far as he is aware, that's how my SE-L should be and only the entry level model will have the single speedo. He did add the caveat that they hadn't ordered an entry level model in a long time so he wasn't 100% sure that it had a single-instrument but he was quite certain about the SE and SE L models. He emailed me later to say he'd mentioned it to the boss who said it definitely hasn't changed. Skoda update dealerships on any and all changes to the cars. It's just a question of finding a dealer who actually reads the updates and remembers to pass the information on. I'm inclined to believe them as I've seen the manager with clients and he is a walking, talking configurator. Perhaps it's a glitch in the configurator which has been left there to make us more grateful for what we get?
  5. My partner has a '17 Audi A4 with all sorts of fancy bits (company car) but he's jealous that I'll have heated seats My only worry about moving to a new car are the brakes. It's been a few years since I've driven because I used to live in a city. I'm having refresher lessons in an i10 and I'm surprised at how quickly the brakes go from nothing to emergency stop.
  6. Mine is an ASG SE L so the three dial binnacle is just aesthetics for me. I've only ever driven old bangers so I've never had a rev counter aside from in my driving instructor's car. Thanks for the tip on the wind deflectors. The dealers didn't have a delivery date so I've been working on 3-4 weeks based on what I've read around. If it's two weeks I'll be a very happy woman.
  7. Ooh you can still see a bit of it! I really like the interior of your car. I opted for the bog standard interior because there wasn't a huge difference on the online configurator but having seen yours, it definitely looks more luxurious.
  8. My experience was far more positive than the reviews above. I went in on a Sunday without an appointment to see a Citigo in the flesh. The two salesmen were busy so I started looking at the Citigo with my partner. After a few minutes one of the the salesmen, Matthew, finished with his customer, came over and introduced himself. He offered to get some brochures and told me and my partner to go ahead and have a proper look, get in, open what we like etc. When he came back with the brochures he asked if we had any questions. We didn't so he said rather than hovering over us, he would leave us to keep looking around and told us where to find him (at a desk in the back corner, easily within sight). I had been in a few other dealerships that morning including Ford and VW where we had been pounced upon by the salesmen who started pushing for a sale. Rather than being able to look around they just started reeling off features and pushing us to go discuss finance options. I had read quite a bit online and already had the Citigo on my list of options alongside a couple of other cars. The attitude of the salesman was what really sold me the car.
  9. Morning everybody. I've been lurking trying to find out as much as I can about the Citigo since ordering mine in the middle of January. Got a call to say it was built on Wednesday this week (build week 10?) and is waiting for a friendly lorry to pick it up and start it's journey to the UK. Didn't add the trip computer so I'll report back in a few weeks on the new binnacle.

    Auto lights

Yes, it's only available with city safe and rain sensors. I ordered mine back in January thinking that city safe was just a name for the combination of rain and light sensors. Had no idea city safe was a thing in itself.
