  1. As silver1011 say KESSY won't allow it. I know because I have messed around with this ALOT just to see if it was possible to lock the car witk the key inside. This is actually a problem if You have the car serviced or something and want to pick it up after closingtime: the garage can not lock Your car with key inside, so to they have to hide the key outside the car, but then again at a distance, otherwise the car opens when You grab the handle! I solved it like this: Mounted a hook high up in the engine bay. The garage now opens the hood/bonnet and lock the car. Hang the key on hook. Close hood/bonnet. At this position the KESSY will not allow the car to be opened, and You can not access the key from under the car. And of course I use the spare key when i collect. Tip for hiding spare blade: Pop out a sideindicator ligt and tape the blade to the wire harness with black electrical tape. Even if You have the light out you would not notice it unless You know it is there! On a Civic 86 I had many years ago, I did this with a front parking light: Just two phillips bolts to get Access! (I have NOT done this on the car i have now) ArvidG
  2. Last last news: The dealer wanted the car in as I had used the Skoda Mobility Guarantee when towed. Something about they had to pay the tow because they had the last service, but if they checked the car they get a refund from the import company. Anyway they did not find anything wrong. ( I did delete all faults on sunday when I picked up the car so kind of expected this) Do not know if it is good or bad, but at least the dealer has given the green light for driving on. Had a trip today about. 800km with trailer and 9 hours driving: No problems of any kind ArvidG
  3. Update: Loaded the rental Octavia with some toolboxes and the VCDS with the latest version uploaded, and aimed for the garage earlyer today. Found my car still on the lot and did a new autoscan: same result as before. Tried to start the car: same result: turning but not firing. Decided to swap coil 3 and 2 in case I get another misfire: If the Coil is the problem, the New fault will show sylinder 2. Found out that it is along time since I had to repair cars: I did not have a plugwrench that was narrow enough to reach the sparkplug!! Deleted ALL faults, new autoscan: all faults cleared! Tried to start again: after ca 8 sek. just before I turned off the starter again I heard one or two firings. Next start attempt: a few more firing: pressed the accellerator a little bit and BAM: WE HAVE IGNITION!! It started and almost immediately running perfect. It smelled gas but hey: 4 or 5 startattempts with no luck have to leave som leftover gas. Now I am back at home, the rental is delivered, and my car has run about two hours with NO problems. Fingers crossed! ArvidG
  4. The rental was brand New: only 5000km on it. ArvidG
  5. Frankly I do not know what they did, the papers are still in the car. What conserns me is that it refused to start again after I had pulled over: 16452 - Implausible Data Received from ESP Control Module U0416 00 [038] - - Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 77072 km Date: 2018.10.12 Time: 17:50:32 Engine speed: 0.00 /min Normed load value: 0.0 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 46 °C Intake air temperature: 30 °C Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 11.542 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Engine: operating status: ES STATE_LS_SAE[1]: INI T_AST_SAE: 0 s MAP_MES_SAE: 101 kPa Lambda probe voltage: bank 1: probe 1 (broadband probe): 2.075 V FAC_TPS_1_SAE: 16.406250 % FUP_H_SAE: 260.0 kPa I am afraid something else maybe is the matter also!! 6. No I have not. The car is still at the garage lot. I do however think that these are the important ones, as this happened while the car was driving: 3 Faults Found: 15074 - Cylinder Disabling P130A 00 [036] - - Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 77070 km Date: 2018.10.12 Time: 16:38:55 Engine speed: 2103.75 /min Normed load value: 27.1 % Vehicle speed: 97 km/h Coolant temperature: 93 °C Intake air temperature: 18 °C Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 14.296 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Engine: operating status: PL N_TOOTH: 2025 /min T_AST_SAE: 704 s TOIL: 83 °C STATE_LS_SAE[1]: OL_ERR FUP_H_SAE: 12860.0 kPa FUP_EFP_MES: 4967.09 hPa 15131 - Cylinder 3 P0303 00 [101] - Misfire Detected Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 77070 km Date: 2018.10.12 Time: 16:38:50 Engine speed: 2147.00 /min Normed load value: 12.9 % Vehicle speed: 100 km/h Coolant temperature: 94 °C Intake air temperature: 21 °C Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 14.316 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Engine: operating status: PL N_TOOTH: 2025 /min T_AST_SAE: 699 s TOIL: 82 °C STATE_LS_SAE[1]: CL FUP_H_SAE: 7300.0 kPa FUP_EFP_MES: 4985.67 hPa Readiness: 0000 0000 Many of the other faults was generated at 26/9 when the car was serviced. 7. Driving home from work yesterday I noticed the engine running funny. I pulled over at a busstop and turned off the engine. Checked for anything out of the ordinary under the hood, but could not see any loose wires or similar. Tried to start engine again; engine turned over but did not start. Was towed to garage and equipped with a rental car.(Brand New Octavia by the way) Later i brought back the laptop and VCDS to the garage, and took a scan, but I am no good at interpreting this. Also typically 20 days after warranty is out!!!!!! Anyone please?? ArvidG Log-PR21141-TMBLD9NE5E0055562-77072km-47890mi-12-10-2018.txt
  8. As stated in the first post, this ONLY works on cars with ELECTRICAL driven tailgate. If you have it you can already open the tailgate with; button inside, remote and button on tailgate. But you can only CLOSE it with the button on the tailgate. This mod. makes it possible also to CLOSE the tailgate with : inside button and remote! ArvidG
  9. I will do it in English so everyone can benefit: This is not my discovery, I think I found it on a Golf Forum: Locking/Unlocking a keyless-access equipped car while engine running using remote: 09 - Central Electronics 16 – Security Access (use 31347 code) 10 – Adaptation: (1) Access control-Funk bei Klemme 15 ein change to: "active" (factory state "inactive") This will enable You to start Your car, leave the car with Your keys and lock the car with the keyfob from outside the car. You need the keyfob to open it again! If You stand beside the car With the keyfob in Your hand and try to open the door (by the handle) it will not work. ArvidG
  10. Hi I have also been following this build here from Norway the last three years and was hoping to see it in real life some time. Epic build, fun to follow. Please keep up! ArvidG
  11. Hello I found this video elswhere on the forum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvcZJvJ4sCU It looks like he is locking the car AND closing the lid with ONE press on the FOB(Top lock button)! Anyone know if this is programmable on Octy III ? If so, is it also possible to do this with KESSY (Keyless entry) by touching the doorhandle? ArvidG (Maybe a job for You andyvee? )
  12. When You activate the boot closing there are two choices: TAP= long press, and TOUCH=short press. I had accidently enabeled BOTH, this gave a strange behaviour much like rola here: If this happens, You must deactivate the TOUCH one, as andyvee explains here: After that all will be fine. ArvidG
