Just an update on this, as it appears no one else on here has experienced it. I took it to TQC in Stoke on Trent, great bunch of lads, and they have sorted it. After a bit of head scratching they found that the wiring loom to the ABS sensor had gone. They removed it and fitted a replacement back to the ECU and all is now good again. Drew

Has anybody any experience of TQC Stoke? They are VAG independent specialists. Cheers Drew

Hi all Just been checking my ABS fault, ESP/ABS lights coming on straight away and staying on. My diagnostic tool told me there was a wiring fault to N/S/F ABS sensor. After a visual check of the wiring as far as I could see all looked OK. I checked the voltage going to the sensor and was only getting approximately 7 volts. As I was doing this I was wiggling the wires but it remained a solid reading. I checked the N/S/F and that was getting 13.5 ish volts, (these checks were done with the engine running. Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received. Drew

Thanks Cryonut. VCDS is very expensive for something I might only ever use a couple of times. Just wanted something to point to where the fault is and something to erase the fault code after. My wife has a 65 plate Fabia that she will probably keep for a while, so may get a bit of use. Drew

Hi All First post, been reading posts in this forum for quite some time now. A quick question, has anyone tried the reluctor rings from UKpartsdirect. I have an abs fault and from what I can gather it's usually the ring that's at fault, (2012 Octavia Scout 2.0cr). Usually the fix appears to be the whole hub but I have come across these rings, just wondering if they're worth a punt.? I was a time served mechanic for 18 years up until 1998, so I'm up to the task. I'm also in the market for some diagnostic kit, ideally only up to £100, any recommendations on this as well would be gratefully received. Thanks Drew
