  1. I have that one in my A6, it’s pretty good! Agree with you that at this age, sacrificing a bit of comfort for the front seat passenger is the way to go. It’s only temporary anyway until the seat goes the other way.
  2. What car seat do you have out of interest? Ours is a Cybex rotating one so figured it is bigger than the average due the 360 spin.
  3. Agree with you on the child seat - it completely destroys the front leg room for the passenger! At least little 'un in the back has all the space they desire I have found the boot space isn't great with the pram and everything either (I have since replaced my TT with an A6 Avant so at least one of the cars can fit all his kit in and the weekly shop as well...) Picnic trays definitely don't help the space issue either but as a 6ft adult the rear legroom is fine.
  4. Hi Georgina. That does sound quite concerning I have to say. How many miles on your Karoq? My better half is the primary driver of our Karoq and I'd hate for her to end up stranded out of a junction. I'm hoping (without being mean to you!) that yours is very specific to your gearbox. We get the jumped start in ours, though it isn't unmanagable and just takes a bit of technique. Hopefully your hire car restores some faith in the car for you. That software update can't come soon enough I think.
  5. No, the phonebox not mentioned. It’s really my other half’s car and the wireless charging has worked fine for her since we had it, it’s the signal booster that we had to sign off (is that right?) and not noticed any significant lack from that.
  6. Because the balloon at the end is the expected value of the vehicle at the end of your term. You haven't financed that, you have financed essentially the gap in-between from when you picked it up to the day you have to pay the balance/hand it back/part-ex. It's why PCP is handy if you want to change every few years as you're not financing the full value of the car.
  7. Mentioned this to our dealer at the first service. They're aware of the issue (they couldn't replicate it when giving it a go as is usually the case with these thing) and expecting a software upgrade around April/May. Have been told to contact them late March if we haven't had a call to book it in for the update by that time. So suggest others maybe do the same? He may well have just been appeasing me, but seemed like a nice enough fellow.
  8. The charging pad definitely works we have it fitted on ours. Had to sign a bit of a paper about the signal booster and the work being done as as they had to disable it.
  9. I really like the blind spot detection - simple little thing that has been quite useful. Wish I had it on both cars to be honest.
  10. Sure, I’ll get some on soon. Sorry you’re having problems, can genuinely empathise. It really was a bit of an endurance challenge at times, but we’re happy with the car we got and so worth the patience.
  11. Well, after the various delays our Karoq has finally arrived. It's an Edition 1.5 TSI in Quartz Grey and I have to say I have been impressed with it. My dear lady likes it too which is more important as it is her car. Not really sat down and gone through all the little menus and sub-menus yet, but generally speaking impressed with the equipment and quality of the car. Certainly different to drive than my TT and I found myself when I was allowed to have a go driving in a much more relaxed manner. The ACC is fantastic, I genuinely found that an absolute dream on the motorway over the weekend. Surprised with the level of pull from the engine. While not being dramatic, it does the job and definitely an improvement on the outgoing Yaris. Long way to go, but it's made a good first impression. Glad the hassle of the delivery problems is over and come just move on and enjoy the car.
  12. Picking ours up today after a long slog (ordered on 13th Jan). XC40 does look good, I was ready to look at those as well. Maybe would have waited for the hybrid. Car for the Mrs this one, personally would have been happy with an estate car if it was for me..!
  13. Read through delivery times topic. There are various tales of woe for guidance related to Edition models and seats. We also had to get rid of our part ex, but the dealer did find us a courtesy for the Mrs to drive thankfully.
  14. Picking ours up tomorrow afternoon. Signed all the docs this morning Have seen a video of the car, so it definitely exists!
