  1. It was the card that came in the sat nav but it did have a Skoda label on it so I presume it was a genuine.
  2. That's what I like to see resilient owners. The map update was straight forward; I download the zip file from the Skoda portal and unzipped straight to the SD card (16g) after reformatting the SD card for NTFS.
  3. Link removed. Could someone please PM me MIB2 firmware 0252.
  4. Thanks for the replies. The car was a trade purchase from an independent garage. However the car still has 5 months Skoda warranty left and I suspect this is where it may end up if I am unable to resolve the issue myself. I am reluctant to have garages work on my cars because they unwittingly introduce more faults while attempting to correct the reported fault. Had a tuning box fitted to my previous car for a short while and all that did was to increase the fuelling to such an extent that it produced much more soot and wet the exhaust tail pipe with unburnt fuel. It did have slight improvement in torque and a reduction in high end power depending on the settings. Not something I would recommend for a modern diesel with egr and dpf fitted. Still trawling through the many previous faults to see if anything is relevant before removing the system for inspection. Regards
  5. 2015 OCTAVIA SCOUT 2.0 TDI MANUAL I’ve recently purchased the above and have found the Amundsen fitted has issues:- Issue 1 The mode button when pressed does not bring up the options on the screen even though the button seems to be working. The light on the button is permanently illuminated. Issue 2 The sat nav did not work so I updated the software from the Skoda update portal and followed the instructions. The sat nav now works fine when the base unit is warm however first thing the display reads (please inset a valid medium with valid navigation data). Head unit part number 5Q0035874A Hardware H25 Software 0245 Nav Database N/A (when not working) I do like the way the Octavia drives however my previous Astra H estate 1.9cdti (150) had more grunt low down. That may have something to do with the EA189 which I assume has already been completed as Skoda says no action is required. Any comments regarding the faults would be welcome. Regards
