  1. I've not coded it as I don't have vag com. Might go for a drive.
  2. Hi all, I've just changed my battery after it'd been on its way out for some time. (I'm sure the 5 min runs to the shop in lockdown pushed it over the edge) But now when I turn the ignition on I get error messages for my stop/start, TPMS and lane assist. Will these clear themselves or do I need to do anything? TIA. MK3 Octy VRS TDI dsg 2013
  3. Hour much are you looking for ? And where are you based?
  4. Have you considered filling the boot full of subwoofers? Either she won't be able to hear the drone, or you won't be able to her her complaining. My 5 year old loves the sub, my 2 year old less so.
  5. It would be first choice but having a regional job it's just not an option :-(
  6. I've been thinking about quad tips but £600 is gonna be hard to swallow
  7. And the fuel cost similar to running a private jet
  8. Before my family expanded I had a 06 Leon from TDI, with dpf, egr delete, full exhaust and remap. On a B road it put a smile on my face every time! As the dpf MOT change was coming in and now having 2 boys the time came to get a 'sensible' car. So the mk 3 Oct VRS (very roomy n' spacious) estate TDI came along. It fits the bill perfectly for family life but on B road blasts it constantly leaves me wanting more. What have people done that might bring my smile back? Also has anyone ever seen a quad pipe exhaust? I've always thought the Merc GLS 63 AMG had good looking pipes!
  9. I have a 2013 mk 3 octy vrs TDI. And am pretty sure the previous owner has made some mods, needle sweep, heated seat memory, remote windows all work. It's there any way of quickly finding out what else had been coded in?
  10. Just wondering how you are getting on with the new MOT changes after swapping to the delete pipe. My old Leon from TDI MK2 had the dpf hollowed out. (Only Awsome Gti ever spotted it) And it always passed MOTs. Currently got an Octy vrs TDI mk 3 but want a few more ponies but don't want to spend every 12 months under my car swaddling pipes and ****in about remapping.
  11. My son (5yrs old) calls my wife's car the mum-bus! It's a fiat 500x. And sometimes complains at how slow it is. I've trained him well!
  12. If it's an ecu issue has anyone tried "fixing" it with a dtuk box or a custom remap. I'm out of warranty so don't mind about that.
  13. I thought I kept my engine bay looking good but you have just raised the game. Washer fluid cap and dip stick next?
  14. I seal then wax on top. Deep shine and beads well.
  15. I use srp, egp x2, the HD wax x2 on the paint work. Last for ages!!!!
  16. I got my new octy 5 months ago. And took the wheels off, cleaned, clayed, polished and sealed with egp. Since then I've not had to use anything other than my pressure washer and a quick tickle with my wheel wooly. #lifechanging
  17. Tar. Holland and Barrett and left foot braking it is then.
  18. I have size 13 feet. It doesn't fit anywhere else other than flat on the floor, which just feels worse. No medical history in the family although I did used to play a huge amount of basketball from 8 to 21.
  19. I've driven manuals all my life and 3/4 months ago got my first auto. (Ocvty vrs mk 3) Ever since then my left knee has had a dull ache. I can't help but think it's due to being further left (on the foot rest, no on the clutch). Has anyone else had similar issues, if so what did you do? P.s. I really don't want to swap the car as it's the perfect balance of power and practicality.
  20. If what does the back end look like?. Front and side are good.
  21. I debadge cos I'm too lazy to pick the polish residue out after detailing.
  22. I decided to sell my dpf-ed Leon fr about 3 months ago and get a stock vrs. I'm gonna wait a couple of years before doing anything as I don't want to ruin a new car for the sake of chasing a few more ponies.
