  1. Will look through these kits as soon as. Thanks for all the advice
  2. Also im on about these circled in the picture you sent.
  3. Just from observation of the airbox, unclip the clips along the front and the one on the rear (Which i can see, there maybe more) it should lift up from here. Pick the old filter our and pop the new one in. There arent screws holding the filter in place, those appear to be for locating the filter correctly in the airbox.
  4. Will be back with my car soon enough so will post a photo then
  5. Here is the picture attached.
  6. My Rapid is an SE, if this is any help?
  7. It will be for polo 6r as my car is 2013
  8. 67igor1, Thankyou will look into this as soon as possible and see where i stand. In terms of setup, how do you mean there are different ones? Thankyou for your response also.
  9. Hi all, I am currently looking into retrofitting cruise control to my rapid. What i would like to know, apart from coding it in with vcds and the stalks, is about the parts i need. Will i also need to purchase a different clock spring or not ? Because ive seen a few units i can purchase in the meantime and some come with them and others dont, i guess its just how they have been dismantled. Edit, will the harness be there also to connect the stalk? Many thanks in advance.
  10. It literally should be as pictured in my response to the post then. Does the air filter look the same shape as the airbox?
  11. Is your car petrol or diesel? The two Rapids i do work on, one being my own which is petrol and the other persons a diesel, both as far as i can remember, have the style of airbox i pictured (I could be wrong here). Tomorrow, if possible, pop the bonnet up on your car and take a few photos of the airbox as i have never seen this shape of filter before.
  12. Remove the Torx screws (Circled in white) that are in the top cover of the air fliter. Lift it off enough to get it out, replace with a new one and refit the cover. Always worth a look inside for any small leaves and bits, typically i just vacuum them out if there is any. Hopefully this is of some help to you.
  13. Hopefully a bit more traffic comes to the thread now. Your Drl's could be a different issue, fuse, wiring, blown and so on. As for switching to sidelights and the rear cluster not working, this surely means Drl's are off at the front and only the sidelights run both front and rear? (i think it works like this even on mine, i will check after work) They are pretty dim on the back also i believe.
  14. Langers2k. I understand about VCDS just presumed that in this situation only a generic code reader was used. Crawford is starting a new thread for himself he may need some advice with VCDS if possible, as this is an old thread dug up.
  15. Yes under skoda owners forum, it isin Rapid & Spaceback, create a new topic from there.
  16. Crawford, i intitally thought this was a new post. Perhaps start a new thread on this issue, you may get more of a response in return
  17. Diagnostic equipment wont pick up faults with bulbs/running lights. It is for dealing with engine management. You're in the right direction by checking fuses anyhow
  18. Thankyou for the advice, will pass it on to the owner. His car suffered a small bump unfortunately
  19. Hi all again. A question from me but not for me about the reflectors on a spaceback rear bumper. How do they actually fit, for example push fit or fixed with small screws? Many thanks in advance.
  20. I often find personally, yes there are manufacturers defects, but more often than not, the human element cannot be taken out of certain things. Be preventative with maintenance, keep on top of any service schedule, treat the car well and it will look after you. Allow these engines a few minutes to circulate oil before taking off and no hard driving until optimum operating temperature. Thats all really, as for a 2015 car i'd imagine these issues are not so common as they once were.
  21. All sorted, got to the end of a long battle. Finally got down to what the issue is, providing proof of address, when asked "How can i, it isnt my house" the lady replied with "we need to see utility bills". So all appears well. Many thanks all for your advice. Next time i will try to insure through here as i have noticed it benefits the forum greatly
