  1. If you have the time, could you please send me a link or run me through it so I can check if that's it?
  2. That's why I'm baffled mate. I don't want to force turn it with pliers and no matter how much I wiggle it, it doesn't turn! Frustrating!
  3. No, doesn't turn at all. Any ideas why this is? Frustrating because to reset my service warning it needs a turn to the right during the sequence. So I'm unable to reset the service warning!
  4. Mine doesn't turn AT ALL! Mk1 1.9 TDI 2004
  5. Mine doesn't turn, so would mine be the long holding method?
  6. I worked it out! I'm sure there is an easier way than how I did it but hey, two hours later she's in! A little plumbers gold to solve the common leaky rear door and jobs a gooden!
  7. Hello again helpful briskodians! Can someone please help explain how to fit a new rear window? I have the door card off, window seals off, window out. How does the new window go in?! Does the rear quarter window have to come out? I feel like I've tried every angle! HELP, PLEASE! Many thanks!
  8. Thank you wino, once again proved yourself to be a top chap! You've helped me before and it's good to see that I'm not alone in my thoughts about sepulchrave. Being patronising, disrespectful and offensive towards me, on two occasions, warranted me to respond and defend myself. I admit it's a minor issue, I ordered wipers and turns out the company sent the wrong ones. Before going through the effort of returning the wipers, I thought I would ask on this lovely forum whether there was an adapter or attachment I could use, only to be met with rudeness by a certain someone. Never mind, it's only wipers, I'll get them changed. Thanks again to those who have been helpful.
  9. No fella, clearly no fitments with packaging otherwise I wouldn't have posted. I have clearly been sent the wrong ones. Facetious would imply humour, inaccurate stereotyping is a poor attempt. This is the second time you have commented on my posts with no helpful input, if you don't intend to help, just don't comment. This is a forum for fabia owners looking for information, support and help, if you have none of these then why are you here?
  10. Been sent the wrong ones! Bas***ds!
  11. On my existing blades, yes, they are fitted onto the hook arms, does the hook arm attachment come off so that I can fit them onto these new blades? I've not looked at them yet! These new ones look like they get attached to a pin arm? Think I've been sent the wrong ones!
  12. Ok, so how on earth are these supposed to fit?! No mechanism for wiper hook to attach to! Do I need an attachment or have I been sent the wrong ones?! Thanks.
  13. I do have a multimeter and electrical knowledge. I know the interior light has a courtesy mode, i just havent checked it yet as not had the car long. All I am asking for is instructions with a little detail as all the vids I have seen have not been very informative. I appreciate your help, I will be having a play with it tomorrow! Hopefully the courtesy light wires are just tucked away in the door, if not I'll figure it out! Believe it or not but I'm VERY good at fumbling about in the dark, it's when I'm at my best! I love to find solutions. I'm an engineer and I like to take things apart, fix things and fabricate parts! Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be fine with it.
  14. Thanks, I know that is one option to run it from, I think there is also somewhere in the door also. Not 100% sure that I have an interior light that comes on at any point during power down and exiting the vehicle! (I'm aware that this could be a faulty door microswitch, I haven't done any tests/checks to see if it is.) I want to know where in the interior light or in the door do I attach the wires? What wires do I attach the door light wires to?
  15. Hello briskodians! This time I am seeking advice on door lights. I want to fit new lights in my doors because when I fitted my regulator and panel last week, I noticed that I don't have door lights! Just a piece of red plastic where the light should be. I can't for the life of me find a decent tutorial video that shows how to wire up the new light! So my question is how the hell do I wire it? Where do I attach the wires so that the light comes on when the door is opened? As always, Thanks in advance.

  17. Thanks for the help time for a drive in the sun with the windows down!
  18. I know, door did still lock but I'm too much of a perfectionist to leave it off! Yes i did, used some plumbers gold, went the whole way around as the new panel was slightly warped and wasn't flush with the door, only by a few mil but again, I'm a perfectionist! Haven't really checked any other doors for leaking yet, that's possibly my next job!
  19. After some wiggling, waggling and slight bending I got the bitch back in place! Sits about 3mm lower in the door card now but still works, goes up and down with lock/unlock! Feeling chuffed with myself and now have functioning windows in time for summer! Many thanks again briskodians!
  20. Hey TMB, all was going brilliantly until putting new panel in and the little lock knob wobbled out of place ! Where does it re-attach to?! Please help!
  21. Yes cessnadriver, does indeed sound like the common drivers window motor/module. I had this issue and found that the simplest 'quick fix' is to swap the fuses around, the windows will work until the car is switched off for a short while! I juggle fuses 46, 58, 68. Hope this helps temporarily but you will need to source a new motor/module, after searching for weeks I found one on eBay for £60, double check it's the right part number for your model and year, then check again! They're hard to find! ;)
  22. Yes, I have ordered the panel with the regulator on it, as when I was simply trying to screw a new window motor on, I made one turn too many and two of the plastic 'prongs' from the regulator behind broke off, leaving me with no way to attach the motor! Not only did it take me ages to source the elusive '6y2959802' driver door motor, but now that I have one the bloody brittle old plastic of the regulator broke! So an even bigger job to do! Oh well, just gotta wait for my parts and have a play with it! Its still HALF the cost of a new window motor alone! I have sourced a motor, panel with regulator, bought some sealant, a lazy tong riveter and the rivets for around £100.
  23. Is that EACH?! Madness lol. Thank you, I'll be ordering some later
  24. Thanks TMB, this is what I thought for sealing the panel, although I would do it a lot neater and go right up to the top, just to be sure! Popped out and got some plumbers gold earlier for this. Thanks for the part numbers, I take it these are from Skoda dealers so even though it's only rivets, I suspect an obscene price for them!
  25. None of those topics help with my problem. Thanks though.
