  1. Yup was corrado VR6 clutch kit. Bought a Sachs. Numbers were not an exact match but it fitted fine and works well. Thanks for the post Dean.
  2. Great stuff. Thanks Dean! Will check part numbers before i strip mine down.
  3. Went for a VR6 corrado clutch. Here's hoping it is right!
  4. Hi All, About ten years ago, shortly after buying WRC 97, i bought a single mass flywheel and clutch kit from Awesome GTI and fitted it..... 100,000 miles and 10 years later and she is showing signs of being a little thin in the clutch area, slightly high biting point and a little slippy if I provoke it.... I have a vague recollection of it being a corrado VR6 or G60 clutch kit (not sure if these are the same clutch but assume it is a clutch from and O2A gearbox). I have tried to confirm this with Awesome GTI, but they have not real knowledge as they don't stock it any more.... Can anyone shed any light before i order a clutch, strip the car one sunday and find it is wrong.... Thank you in advance.
  5. Thanks Mac. I was intrigued to see if anyone had finished a rwd mk1. I also wondered whether people had done a true rwd with a longitudinal mounted engine, (Yes it would take a lot of fabricating). I am not actively planning on building one, but i wanted tonsee what had been done and how......
  6. Hi all. Seen a few historical threads started by people mulling over doing a rwd octavia mk1, all seem to have gone quiet. Spotted on youtube a grey one that someone in Europe (possibly czech) has done. I have messaged them on facebook to find out more as it intrigues me. Has anyone got any more info on this car? Rob
  7. Hi everyone.. 97/100 is still alive. After a couple of years off the road, She has had a little paintwork and some mechanical work. She is now at 220,000 miles. I hope you are all well. Rob
