  1. Would just like to keep things original, they are obviously fitted for a reason so would like to protect my fresh discs.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply those exploded diagrams are really helpful! A quick search on eBay of the fronts has shown them saying they're used on the new VW UP saying they're for brake disc diameter: 239 mm, 256mm, 288 mm Am I right in thinking these are just a universal part that can be used for smaller discs as well as my 288mm's?
  3. So would people definitely recommend the Ibiza bump stops to run with the AP 25mm kit? Is this the correct part number for them? 6Q0 512 131 D Is the benefit literally just so the suspension doesn't bottom out as soon? Would I also need shorter drop links or would it not be considered low enough?
  4. I'm after the part numbers for all four disc splash guards/backing plates on the Mk1 VRS, am I right in saying they're 288mm brakes on the front as standard? Mine have corroded off and I'm wanting to replace these when I do discs and pads. Done a search on here and google can't seem to find them. TIA Chris
  5. Love Black Hole, works a dreams and easy to use. As for wax to apply on top, noticed this is newly stocked at my local detailing shop. Natty's paste wax black edition, made for black cars of course. should again help with filling in scratches etc. http://www.waxworx.uk/shop/shop-by-category/wax/poorboy-world-nattys-paste-wax-black/
  6. Iv found this for sale, bit pricey for what it is like. http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Gear_Knob_Insert_VRS_-_(Fabia_04>07)_6Y0798002
  7. Not sure if this is the right place to post this I'm new here. Have had my Mk1 Fabia VRS for around 6 months now and recently I've noticed its been idling particularly high sometimes intermittently, anything from the normal 900rpm to 16-1700rpm, quite often if i give the throttle a little blip it will settle back to normal. Is this anything to worry about? I don't think it was doing this when I first purchased it. Not sure if related but sometimes when idling I've heard a a noise coming from the engine like something is catching on something and the car seems to vibrate (more) with it. Someone mentioned this could be if the revs drop slightly whilst on idle? This doesn't happen all the time again is only intermittent. Again is this anything to worry about do you think? If anyone could shed some light would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In Advance Chris
  8. Just joined today after being a lurker for a few months. Recently purchased a fairly clean Mk1 Fabia VRS in black magic as only my second car. Loving it so far!
