  1. It’s finally here!!!! Must be some sort of record. I’ve waited 40 weeks for it to get built but then from build week to the dealer has taken 12 days and I pick it up on Wednesday..... just after all the snow will have melted!!!
  2. Wow, after waiting forever, my car was built last Monday, arrived at Emden last Tuesday, set off on the City of Rotterdam last night and arrived in Newcastle this afternoon. I’m guessing another week or so to get to the dealer and then I might hear from them. Think Skoda are trying to make up for lost time! Almost redeemed themselves...almost!
  3. Worth contacting them about it. Mine had a build week of this week but had already arrived at Emden yesterday! Seems like they are churning them out now!
  4. Finally some positive news! 40 weeks after ordering I now have a confirmed build week of week 4 for my 2.0tsi. Also confirmation that the banking period for that engine is set to finish next week when the WLTP is approved. Get ready for some deliveries all of you with 2.0 petrol orders!
  5. I spoke to the Skoda Executive Office today who confirmed what Skoda Chat said at the weekend. Timelines suggest the WLTP certificate for the 2.0 TSI will be early January 2019 with cars arriving at Dealers late Feb to early March. Skoda UK haven’t made a decision on goodwill gestures for the delay yet but my money is on a small cuddly toy!
  6. As far as I know it’s for all 2.0 TSIs, options or not.
  7. So Skoda chat have just confirmed to me that no one will receive a 2.0TSI before Week 8 2019! That’s assuming it has been built by then!
  8. I recently had the displeasure of celebrating my 6 month anniversary! That’s 6 months since I ordered the car! 26 weeks of waiting and still no build week allocated. I don’t understand how others who have ordered the 2.0tsi Edition after me have had theirs built and are waiting for WLTP approval and yet mine isn’t even scheduled for building. Apparently Skoda don’t know why either, but I am quickly learning that Skoda don’t know their ar*e from their elbow. Weekly updates since I raised a complaint which tell me absolutely nothing. I’ve looked on CEO finder to complain to the top, but the Skoda UK boss is still listed as having a VW email address. Anyone got any ideas? Rant over...for now!!!
  9. Ordered week 14. Finally got told an unconfirmed build week 38 in August. Then week 47, then 41, then 42. Last week it was unconfirmed week 46 and now it doesn’t even have a build week of any sort. Have raised a complaint with SUK but despite the woman being really nice she can’t tell me anything useful! Anyone else had their build week pulled like this?
  10. Finally!!!! Having ordered in Week 14 I now have an unconfirmed build week of week 38 and a hopeful delivery to dealer by week 44. They say that good things come to those who wait... well I’m sick of waiting!
  11. It’s a 2.0 TSI which I think should be going from 180 to 190, or maybe not!
  12. As an update I managed to speak to someone helpful called Kat at Skoda yesterday. It’s now over 8 weeks since I placed the order and exactly 8 weeks since it was accepted. Initially she told me there was still no build week but that my order was now marked as ‘urgent’ on the system. She said she had never seen that before so I took it as a good sign that things might start to progress. Anyway she promised to find out some more and then get back to me including information about factory shutdowns and MY19 and she would be back in touch within 24 hours with an update. 2 hours later Kat rings me back with an update; 1) apparently I should have been told at the point of ordering that the lead time was 24 weeks. Errm no, the dealer mentioned 18 weeks as a maximum. 2) The factory building my Kodiaq has now shut to re-tool and won’t be open until week 26. 3) my car is now scheduled for week 31 to be built. 4) Even after re-tooling my car will not be MY19 because this isn’t what I ordered. She described it as not having the facelift, but couldn’t say what the facelift comprised of. 5) I should receive my car by the end of week 39 as things stand. 6) she couldn’t confirm anything to do with gpf or wltp. So I suppose I know a bit more now but a 24 weeks is a long time to wait, and I don’t understand how they can produce a MY18 car when the factory has been re-configured for MY19. I should have asked a few more questions but I was so grateful to get any kind of information I didn’t push any further. Is anyone else in the UK experiencing similar wait times or is it just me?
  13. But according to some (Skoda UK can’t confirm it) the factory closes to re-tool from the end of week 26 and only re-opens in week 31 so anything after week 26 might be the MY19 model!
  14. So from looking at this, if it’s not built in the next 9 weeks then it won’t be built for another 10 weeks on top of that??! Wonderful!
  15. Before they placed the order the dealer suggested about 18 weeks but they were very vague and couldn’t say where they got this figure from The order was accepted about 3 days after it was placed so no issues from that point of view. Glad yours in built and you can look forward to it. Mine seems forever away!
