  1. For written versions - it seems there may be something available on line for downloading? The offices are all closed where they published.
  2. I understand Haynes have gone out of business apart from the museum at Sparkford.
  3. Being an old ft I tend to let everything warm up, metal and lubricants, tyres and so on before belting it. I realise modern engines may not need much warming but what e-roottoot says makes good sense.
  4. On my 2017 hatch it is; press unlock twice for all doors and boot to unlock. If car is fully locked and you just want to open the boot, press the centre button once and you get one time access. I worry about dropping the key in there and then locking it ! Is it a boot or a trunk? I come from driving some pretty old cars and with some, you had to provide your own 'trunk' and fit it to the back usually with a carrier. Sorry - I digress again.
  5. These wretched humps and pads in the roads do not help, pads especially seem to wear the inside when you try to straddle them.
  6. Yes - this does crop up from time to time and has been mentioned. I was in Germany in the 60s where the winters tend to be a but harder than in UK. With a Land Rover, the handbrake operated on the prop shaft and had a tendency to freeze on during overnight frosts. This resulted in us leaving the handbrake off but in gear. Coming from the 'Very Old School of Motoring' there were all sorts of tricks that used to be used such as carrying a block or house brick to stick under a wheel especially on a hill. Anyway, I always park with handbrake on and in gear except in my garage where it is just left in gear, the floor being level.
  7. The problem seems to persist even though a diagnostics check was run. In cases like this, you can either get another independent test or use the Mk1 eyeball and look at the problem. This will probably mean taking out individual injectors and/or the associated heating elements to see if they are functioning. I tend to think; look at the elements as once the cylinders get warm, the problem disappears.
  8. A warm welcome to the Forum ! A well made video, very professional. I lived in Germany and have yet to visit Czek so will come over one day I hope.
