Tried to order a superb last week as a new company car the process got as far as the dealer an they said they couldn’t order the car. Any guesses on when they may take orders again. I contacted Skoda UK and they said that there is no problem and they knew nothing about a stop on orders.

It seems to be hard to buy a car from skoda. I am in the process of deciding on my next company car. I had decided on a superb 1.4, however it appears that skoda no longer wants to sell petrol superbs and my order was cancelled when it got to dealer level. So I am now looking at an octavia. The main reason I initially chose the superb was for its enormous boot. (I carry a lot of gear for my job and have to carry a wheelchair occasionally as well). So here I am asking which is the better engine for the octavia, the 1.4 or the 1.5 either one will be with the DSG box and the trim level will be SEL with bits added to bring it to technology level of toys. TIA

Don’t have a Skoda yet, but just ordered a superb. Not new to VAG cars as I currently drive a Leon FR and thought it was time to take a step up in the luxury level.
