I've just changed from a automatic 130hp turbodiesel to the 1.5TSI DSG and would say the loss of diesel torque at motorway speeds is pretty much made up for by the extra hp. I drove to Bristol and back at the weekend (from Bromley) and if anything I felt the Karoq was more likely to keep me out of trouble if I needed to put my foot down in a hurry. I couldn't be happier with it really.

A really tiny one for me. When you move the driver's sun visor to cover the top of your door window (to stop sun from the right hand side dazzling you) it doesn't extend out along the 'pole' like they do in some cars. The result is that the visor basically covers half of the front pillar, and doesn't cover the rear half of the window. Annoying. Such a simple thing to have got right.

I've taken out a 4 year contract too. Having had my previous car for 11 years, 10 of them out of warranty, it didn't seem a big deal!! I've had mine (1.5TSI DSG SE L) a week now, and absolutely love it. We went to Bristol for the weekend (from London) and it was such an enjoyable, relaxing drive. Other than on concrete stretches of motorway it's very quiet in the cabin even over 70 mph.

Picking mine up on Saturday at 8am! Happy days!

Not sure I've ever wanted to know any of these things whilst away from the car.... But I suppose some will find it useful!

Just spoke to the dealer who said its arriving this afternoon at the showroom. So I should have it by the weekend. Very excited!

I've had a heated screen on my SEAT alhambra for the past 11 years and it is the ultimate luxury. no way am I starting scraping ice off the car again at my age!!

And almost exactly the same duration between ordering and delivery too...

(I will admit if it had been down to me I'd have gone for business grey too. But I had to trade the heated steering wheel for her favourite colour!)

Pleased to hear it. The option I have been most anxious about not choosing has been the canton sound system!

I ordered mine (1.5TSI DSG SE L in quartz grey with heated screen, heated steering wheel and spare wheel) on the 28th Jan and was originally told build week 10 and handover week 15 (9th April). Goodness knows when it was actually built but it seems almost certain that I'll be picking it up next week. So that's week 19 in the end. Assuming I have it by Friday 11th we're talking just under 15 weeks from order to delivery. Looking at other people's stories that's about average and it could have been a lot worse!

Just saw another one, again in quartz grey, driving London-bound on the A2 near Bexleyheath. Didn't check the plate so it might be the same one I saw in Bromley I guess. My dealer (Croydon) has confirmed mine is arriving on Tues next week....

Thanks, that's helpful. All my family are android users so I suspect we'll all just plug our own phones in, although having a data-only contract for streaming music/traffic info/internet radio seems a good idea too

Thanks. All I really need is to keep the battery topped up, so it should be enough. At the moment when I use Google maps for satnav my phone screen is turned on, so the battery drain is huge. But with the karoq the phone screen will be turned off, so a trickle should be enough, I hope.

Thanks, that's really helpful. If you use an old phone that (I assume) you keep in the car, how do you get a data connection on it (e.g. for traffic info)? Do you have a data only sim in it? Why not use your main phone?
