Had an encounter with a pheasant at 60mph. Not pleasant for the pheasant.
Once i remover the feathers from the car (plucked, I suppose!) I could see the damaged car part is the Central ventilation grille that sits below the number plate.
I can see the part on www.skoda-parts.com at a reasonable price. It looks like it should clip into place - some of the bottom clips have been dislodged, but I'm not sure if I can do that without starting to dismantle other parts at the front. What do you think? Is there a repair guide that would help? Or should I just leave it to a repair shop and cough up.
The parking sensors and the bits they clip into are intact and functioning.
The other dangling sensor looks like it might be the external temperature sensor. There is a metal bracket that looks like it should hold the sensor, located behind the grill - just not sure which direction it should point - forward or back.
Any thoughts welcome,
Rob.
