  1. I’ve found this of a roof of website these are the latest revision of Thule bay and foot pack the bar length is 127? could I go off for this? The ha is again
  2. Hi all im looking on eBay and there are loads of foot pack and bars available. I know I need the 775 foot pack but the bar length is worrying me had anyone got Thule aero bars and know the width I need ? I nearly put a bid on 118mm bars but searched and these are too narrow ‘apparently’ thanks is for any help
  3. Ah brilliant , cheers, that sums it up then , just get a good run up on a slip road 😂👌
  4. Thanks for reply, that’s why I’m a tad worried but to be honest the caravan will more than likely be down various locations in west wales and will be spending large majority of the time pootling on M4
  5. Hi All, on the verge of buying a caravan, I have a 13 plate 1.6tdi green line (it has a tow bar fitted with double electrics so I assume has towed in the past) has anyone used a yeti 1.6 regularly to tow a light weight caravan? i know it can legally tow a lightweight caravan but would I be better changing the car which would be a hassle? we won’t be going that far, probably 2 hour max from home. just wondering would the 1.6 struggle? any experiences welcome thank you
  6. It worked again... Cheers It seems fixed? Sad question... The cruise icon doesn't appear in the maxidot display anymore? Im sure it used to appear instead of mileage? (might have dreamt it)
  7. Cheers will do. Just went out on another test drive... It works intermittently... But.... The green cruise control icon appears above the fuel gauge BUT the icon doesn't appear in the maxidot display? It worked earlier... But stopped the car came out of the shop tried it again and it doesn't work.
  8. Hi All, My car is 2013 old shape 1.6tdi greenline. Cruise control has suddenly stopped working. I've scanned the car via an android app scanner it's says there are no codes stored. I have taken apart the cruise control switch on the indicator arm, cleaned with a bit of white spirit, there was 'gunk' on it. This made no different my brake lights are working 'apparently' this takes out the brake light switch theory. There are no warning lights or messages on info centre. I've searched the forum and tried the above. Any other ideas please? Cheers in advance!
  9. Hi all, Thank god for this thread. My filler cap just got stuck. After stressing and loosing about 3 years off my life. I used a plastic dashboard lever tool I had hanging around. I just rammed it in near the locking mech and it popped open. Sadly you can't leave the filler cap slightly 'ajar' as when you lock the car the alarm goes off. (circuit not completed?) I ordered the part new solenoid from local dealer at £31.33 Collecting tomorrow. Moral of the story don't be afraid to crack open the cap, I've done it about 5 times and it's opened fine. Damn electrics eh! (thanks again for posting pics and description above)
  10. Hey ho, I can nolonger fry the eggs and bacon now on the disc and wheel😜
  11. Just an update, both rear calipers replaced... According to the garage pistons on both were rusted and not fully rewinding.
  12. Cheers Im assuming 'electronically' wound back is the vcds black magic?
  13. Update.. Went on the longest journey after having brakes done yesterday.. Smoked again, both pads 'white' Called RAC, said known fault on vag cars, need callipers replacing as they drag and piston's never go back properly... Just got quote off local garage... £343 all in. for 2 x rear calipers, 2 x sets pads, bleed, + calipers will have to be 'electronically' wound back Is that a good price? Cheers all
  14. Hi Dom Thanks for the reply. Would this be what you bought... Seals The handbrake currently is about 2/3 clicks for fully on. Again garage said they cleaned down everything for a second time, but worth a look. Again I have basic knowledge, servicing the normal bits is my limit. Cheers again
