My 18 plate octavia 1.6 tdi goes into limp mode at around 2000 revs and the yellow flashing twirling light appears. When I turn ignition off it rectifies itself but as soon as I get up to the 2000 rpm it happens again, help me please (car is out of warranty)

How can I check if the alternator is giving out the correct voltage?????

Anyone had problems with the fan?????? I can put it on full blast but after a couple of minutes if that it seems to slow a bit make a faint screeching noise nd then go off altogether???????? This happens everytime.........I leave it for a few minutes nd put it back on but the problem repeats itself..........it's fine now but I'm gonna need my blowers to clear mist nd stuff as winter comes in.........any ideas??????

The battery is the existing one which was on the car from new.......I replaced the alternator last month so would this have a bearing on the problem??????

Hi all first time here and I'm after a bit of help in identifying a worrying problem problem started about a month ago lazy starting, fading lights, failure of power steering so I was told it was failure of the alternator. I changed the alternator nd all seemed fine again but after about a week I got an error stabilisation control warning (esc) nd the power steering failed so it was like driving an old tractor this problem disappeared after a few hours nd car was fine again but it's happening about once a week for a few hours nd then back to normal. Same thing all the time warning lights when starting (esc) start/stop error nd failed power steering but then it's back to normal after a few hours.........help me pls
