  1. I think you've misunderstood. I don't want navigation to turn off AFTER I close a phone call which is what it's doing
  2. Today, after answering two calls, each time the navigation voice stopped (though the screen still showed my route) and the route guidance disappeared from the display in the instrument cluster. Am I missing something or is it a fault I need to get fixed?
  3. Thanks for posting this...very interesting
  4. It was the basic blue colour and I'm also on a lease deal. My dealer is 'online' (from CarWow) but hasn't mentioned dealer allocation....I'll ask, though I would have thought they should have volunteered the info if that is the problem.
  5. Interesting. I ordered the same car/trim on the same day as you and it was built a week earlier than yours. However, mine is still languishing at the factory after 7 weeks apparently still waiting for seats (I no longer believe that is the only reason but hey, Skoda won't tell me a thing). Adrian
  6. My experience of having a case manager is rubbish. They can't tell you anything, bar offering platitudes. My one even told me they ignore posts on here (see my previous)
  7. That's very interesting, thank you. Are you able to say where you got this information from? Do you consider it to be be reliable?
  8. Well firstly the dealer is a Skoda representative so if they say 12 weeks why should I expect otherwise? Secondly a lot of the frustration is around no comms from Skoda as to why people with later build weeks for the same model/trim are getting their cars shipped weeks ahead of those with earlier build weeks whose cars are still in the factory awaiting seats.
  9. Ok, I had to get on here and report back a conversation I have just had with one of these 'customer service managers' you can be allocated to, to investigate your particular order. Quick reminder - my car, ordered 10th March, BW 16, still awaiting rear seats (1.5 TSI DSG SE L). Firstly, the person could give me no further information other that which I already knew. I told her that there was a lot of anger on this forum about the seemingly illogical nature of how order fulfilment was being handled, e.g. for the same model/trim people with later build weeks having their cars shipped/delivered before earlier BW. I was told that Skoda do not take any notice of this forum as they cannot take at face value an individual's experience, it's only their word. Dumbfounded I asked her for clarification; was she really saying that Skoda did not believe what individuals were posting on here. She repeated the above, the implication being that at best we're all deluded, at worst that we're lying! I then went on to ask her why she couldn't give me a date for when the seat suppliers would be able to deliver the seats. I was told they were working closely with the Skoda factory but couldnt get that information from them! Personally I cannot believe they couldn't easily garner this information and share it with their customers. Needless to say I turned down her offer to update regularly as I can't see that it will add any value. Now....maybe the car magazine websites might be interested.......
  10. I wonder if there's any chance of a Skoda rep responding on here with regards to a) the general problems they're having why their fulfillment policy appears to have no logic to it (see previous post)?
  11. Hmmm I ordered 3 days earlier (same car) and it was built in week 16, yet it's still in the factory awaiting the seats. What the hell is the logic here?!

  13. Here is a section of the email I received yesterday from the person I'm dealing with at Skoda. Just to reiterate, the car was built in week 16 and is a 1.5 DSG SE L I have been tracking your vehicle daily and have spoken to Skoda UK a number of times for clarification on the situation. Your vehicle is built but it hasn’t left the factory yet. Skoda have confirmed that a number of Karoq SE L models have been delayed because the factory have had a shortage of components associated with the rear seats. This has meant a number of cars have been ‘stuck’ in the final stage and unfortunately your car is one of these affected by the seat component. I’m sorry that you are having to wait longer than we anticipated and I can assure you that it is in our interest to deliver the car to you as soon as we possibly can, but we are in the hands of the manufacturer on these matters. I suppose, looking at the upsides, is that since you ordered your vehicle there has been two contract hire rate increases. In fact, if you were to order a car now, the like-for-like quote would be £16.39pm higher based on the same parameters. Also, Skoda now estimate a lead time of around 24 weeks for the 1.5 TSI DSG engine for new orders placed now. There are lots of changes happening in the industry currently. You may have heard of the new European governed WLTP and RDE changes that have now started. This is affecting every manufacturer, not just Skoda, and we are seeing quite drastic changes to lead times across every manufacturer. I think most of the forum frustration is based on how WLTP is having an impact on the industry as a whole and thus affecting lead times.
  14. Is yours a UK delivery? If yes then that's weird, if not then I understand that different countries are being prioritised differently.
  15. The standard Alcantera. I know, it's weird as no idea how they're prioritising and they're not interested in pro actively communicating.
  16. We ordered a 1.5 TSI Se L DSG on the 10th March with a 16 BW. We received confirmation that it had indeed been built that week but then heard nothing more. I made enquiries 2 weeks ago and again today; the car is at the end of the production line but awaiting the vario flex seats. Skoda still don't know when the seats will arrive to be fitted and have asked that I contact them again next week. They did recognise the damage these delays were doing to the brand but there's nothing they can do apparently.
