  1. My wife has a 64 plate Q3 2.0 TDi S LIne PLus Auto and it is an incredibly refined and comfortable car, even with the 19" wheels. We deleted the sports suspension though. I think you will really like the Q3. It was easily the most comfortable and refined small suv that we test drove, but, as you say, it is expensive. VW, seems unable to fulfill orders acrossmany of their cars. We had settled on a new Polo GTi DSG to replace the wife's Q3, went in to order and were told a minimum 42 week lead time!
  2. We don't necessarily need to have that situation, I was only saying that it seemed a strange design choice not to have the centre protion of the seat slide forward. It does in the Touareg, Tiguan and many other cars. I was not criticising Skoda as you seem to suggest with your use of language, in as much pointing out an unusual design feature.
  3. But that still prevents the centre seat being used by a passenger. It is strange that they designed such a sophisticated system but that the centre section doesn't slide as well as the outers.
  4. But that doesn't extend the length of the boot though if that extra length is needed.
  5. It is ridiculous that the centre seat doesn't slide. My Touareg did it, my Alhambra does it and every car with three separate seats does it as far as I know. Strange system as, as you say, if you want to make the boot larger you have to remove the centre seat entirely.

  7. That is excellent news for us iphone users! Thanks for the info.
  8. Every review I have read (and I have read a lot), about the Karoq says it is set up for comfort over handling - you will have to look elsewhere for your engaging handling I'm afraid.
  9. Am I right in seeing that they are temporarily stopping production of the 1.0 DSG? (About third line down) Hop the wife's 1.0 DSG gets built before that happens or it's back to the drawing board again.
  10. Week 24 but not confirmed yet so not holding my breath!
  11. The main issue is not the low profile (this can't be changed on the same wheel as it would change the circumference of the tyre and therefore would upset speedo, etc), but whether the tyre has rim protection. This generally shows as a thicker element on the sidewall around the tyre near the edge of the rim. Some tyres have none at all, others have a lot. Of course, some of the alloy wheels designs have a the wheel sticking out further, thus negating any rim protection that the tyre gives.
  12. Hi, After weeks of searching and cancelling our order for an Arona Xcellence Lux (after they removed the seats and dash trim from that model), we have finally settled on a 1.0 DSG SE L Karoq to replace my wife's Q3. Went for Emerald Green with beige leather and have a BW of 24. Hopefully all will got to plan and we can enjoy the new car soon enough.
