  1. I spent a long and painful afternoon trying to replace my bulbs. Trying to apply enough torque to rotate the bulb assembly to remove it was very difficult given the lack of space and the extreme angle you have to put your hand in at. I got the driver's side (UK) assembly to what felt like 10 o'clock from the starting vertical position, but I couldn't rotate it further or remove it at that degree of rotation. Rotating it was very stiff. A poster above noted that the factory manual recommends removing the front wheelarch liners. Has anyone done this? How difficult/long a process is it? The only way I think I could get in and rotate the housings enough would be by using some kind of slip joint pliers and gently clasping and rotating the housings that way. Even then I think I'd struggle to find a tool that has enough bend to make it possible.....help?! Thanks guys.
  2. Thanks Bob. I live in the UK. These look legit. Cheers for your help. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0185GYOM0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 Edit: They aren't the same. I think these are the ones. https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/d3s-osram-night-breaker-laser-xenarc-next-generation.html
  3. Holy sheeeeeit, I assumed you were on high beam right from the start! That is an incredible difference. I'm going to go and order these right now. Is there any further spec detail I need beyond what you posted at the start of the thread, i.e. "Osram D3S Laser Next Generation"? Is there a fitment code or anything I need to make sure I get? Thanks Larry
  4. @Bob-thebuilder, how much brighter are the lights on dipped beam? Full beam looks very impressive but for me, it's the dipped beam performance that I am really disappointed in. I've got a 2018 L&K and I swear that sometimes at night in built-up areas I'm not even sure if the headlights are actually on or not.
  5. Used a Chipexpress box on a Seat Leon 2.0 TDI 150. Made a great difference. Well worth it.
  6. Thanks - I did try that. Thing is, auto wipers are useful, especially with the amount of motorway driving I do. It just doesn't seem to be possible to have auto wipers for the front enabled without the inevitable screech of the rear wiper every few minutes.....I'll buy that Bosch wiper and see if it helps.
  7. Oh man, that rear wiper on the estate absolutely kills me. Car is less than 4 months old. Do a lot of motorway driving. Every couple of minutes there is that hideous, unnecessary scraping from the back.....does my head in. Will order that Bosch wiper as it doesn't seem that it's possible to disable the pointless rear wipe via OBD11.
  8. Hi, 2018 Superb 3 L&K. Lane Assist is great but sometimes I feel it drifts too far across a lane before self-correcting. Is there any way to make modify how 'tightly' it stays in its lane? Cheers
  9. Called a dealer today. Claimed there is only one petrol 220 L&K DSG TSI estate around. Wanted 28k - new, unregistered.
  10. Isn't Broadspeed just for new builds or will they look for stock cars too?
  11. Hi, I'm in the market for a new (or pre-reg) Superb Estate 220 DSG, L&K. Best price I can see on Carwow for a stock unregistered car is nearly £31k. Seems pretty steep when I can get an SE-L for less than £26k. Any guidance on negotiation and what I should be paying for the L&K? Thanks
