But was he in a yeti!?
-
Has anyone got any experience of beach launching a boat with a yeti? I was thinking of changing my wheels to insa turbo 215/65 R16 with steel rims, as per the below thread, to allow me to launch by boat from the local beaches. Using slipways can be frustrating as you have to coordinate your day around the tides. I have spoken to my insurance company, Adrian Flux, and they said they do not care what wheels I fit, as long as they have legal tread.

Do you find the 135cm bars look ok? i.e. don't stick out too much.

Thanks Muddyboots. Those discs/pads a bit more than I was hoping to pay. But good point on the rear disc size. I have been trying to figure this out. My car is a 62 reg so can we safely assume they are 272mm? Cheers

Personally, I'd say 36 high quality photos trumps a couple of mistakes regarding the colour of the car. No idea re "the fix" as I always intended to remap it anyway and overight said fix.

I They're sold out of front pads so I think I'll just go for the mtec discs and mintex pads as you did. £175 for discs and pads on all 4 corners. Sound reasonable?

What pads are you using? The MTEC own brand?

Thanks for the advice. I don't suppose you'd be a hero and find links or part numbers to the exact discs/pads you used? cheers

When i was buying mine i was also looking at this http://www.leedautos.co.uk/used-cars/8852455-skoda-yeti-suv-4wd-2.0-tdi-cr-170-dpf-eu5-elegance-6-spd/ He said he'd take 8900 for it.

Last week, I bought my 62 reg 170bhp yeti with 50k miles for 7600. It needed cambelt and waterpump done so bring that to 8k.

I have a 62 reg 170bhp Yeti, remapped by shark I've been told it needs new discs and pads all round. After getting a quote for 300 (not including labour), have decided to source the parts myself. I was going to go for Bosch but have seen people comment that they are now made in China. I get the impression that ATE discs and brakes are quite highly regarded. Also open to any other recommendations. I would really appreciate if people could guide me to the exact links for discs and pads that suit the 170 yeti. Thanks in advance! Josh
