  1. Ok, thanks for your reply. I'll get a new unit then. Can you confirm this is what I'm after? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Door-Lock-Actuator-Rear-Left-Fits-VW-Golf-Beetle-Passat-Seat-Leon-Skoda-Octavia/162582121784?fits=Car Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AOctavia I|Cars Year%3A2004|Variant%3A1U5 [1996-2010] Estate|Plat_Gen%3A1U5|Cars Type%3A1.9 TDI|BodyStyle%3AEstate|Engine%3A1896ccm 130HP 96KW (Diesel) Cheers for your help mate
  2. Hi, I know this has been gone through before but can't quite find what I need. 2004 Octavia Estate, rear passenger door has been playing up. Not unlocking/opening at all. Bashing the unlock button on the key fob and a few hits was working, then one day it stopped all together. It's now been like this for about two months. I had resigned to having to rip the door card off and cutting into the mech etc. But then today! It unlocked. As if by magic. That car is not getting locked again until its sorted. I'm thinking oiling the mech up to buggery or replacing? Question is, how to I grease it all up? Or is it just worth replacing the whole thing? Cheers
  3. Yeah not the coolant dial, but the outside air temperature. Matches the reading on the Climatronic but has a decimal point. I think the OBC reads the outside air temperature and if it's super cold then it runs a bit richer to compensate, if it's doing this constantly it can cause a few problems (I had this fault with an old Ibiza, ending up in cutting the cat out). I'm not sure if one reading is solely for the A/C and the other is speaking to the engine, or if it's linked or just for driver info
  4. @Angelito there's a thread recently about fitting the Golf MKIV armrest
  5. Recently had a mare with the Aircon not working. Got it fixed in the end - weeks later (wiring fault somewhere). Since having it back, the thermostat on the dash isn't always giving me a reading, but the Climatronic one is working fine. Are they linked? I don't want the engine to be running too rich or anything. Sorry if this has been asked before but couldnt find anything
  6. I can image it wouldn't fit with the handbrake position? Something better than the MK1 armrest would be good if you have any ideas though

    Hello

Yo, Just joining in here, I'll likely be asking lots of questions (not sure how many I'll be able to answer though) I've recently bought an old Octavia (2004 L&K Estate). It's barely had a life and has seemingly been very well looked after and I'm hoping it will last me a while. So far I'm very impressed, radio sound quality was AWFUL however, so that's the first thing I'm in the process of updating. Cheers
  8. Hi, Sorry if this has been covered but I can't find anything. I've upgraded the speakers in my Octavia 1 L&K Estate. Went for components in the front and coaxials in the back. Front woofers went in fine, but I can't get the tweeters in. The mounting for the OEM tweeters seems to be different to what I've got (same size though). Has anyone else had this issue and solved it? It's frustrating as in hindsight I'd have just gone for coaxials all around. These are the speakers http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/vibe-slick-6-comp-v3 Cheers
