  1. Thanks for info sorry to bother you mate welding no problem I’m a mechanic and welder fabricator as my day job
  2. Arse bloody typical luckily I ain’t paid for them yet. Don’t suppose u know if Audi TT fronts will fit if I use my original subframes
  3. I have a set of full leather seats from a polo 6N2 will they go in my MK1 fabia. Really hoping so
  4. It’s got me stumped aswell mate have noticed some fairly deep grooves in head where inj o rings seal at top for fuel galleries though so think it’s gonna need a head
  5. So here’s the full story, my mk1 vrs needed new cam and lifters so replaced camshaft , lifters , all bolts cambelt water pump everything , then while it was apart replaced inj seals and bolts ever since doing seals oil level keeps coming up and oil is contaminated with fuel. So bought another set of seals and redid them. But while I had injectors out I noticed some grooves in the inj tubes where fuel o rings seal. Replaced seals anyway hoping it would cure problem but no joy. Guess I’m looking for replacement head or complete engine as mines now on 174000 miles. Any ideas guys
  6. quick up date read torsion angle with vag com reading -4.6 after a lot of cursing and many attempts adjusting. Got it to 0.0-0.6 and wow it’s a different motor huge thanks again for advice fellas
  7. Thanks fellas got vag com at work so will have a look soo wats going on did set lash on injectors when I refitted them. Fingers crossed it’s the torsion angle will update asap
  8. So replaced worn camshaft on my fabia mk1 vrs at weekend along with upgraded black lifters new cam belt kit and water pump also replaced injector seals. Ever since it’s been a pain in arse to start fires instant then cuts out then cranks for 5-10 secs then fires with a big cloud of smoke. Runs well but doesn’t feel as good as it did before. Am wondering if I’ve caught injector seals when re fitting them coz they where bloody tight going back in. Any advise on how to check please guys.
  9. Thanks for that. I’m happy mine doesn’t pour smoke out like a steam train. Just wondered if there was any power gain but obviously not lol
  10. Newbie question but what is difference between smoke map and stage 1 map. My vrs has stage one map and goes like a scalded cat but not to much smoke which in my eyes is a good thing. Would I gain much having smoke map
  11. Already done all that mate all comes up as should 5 door hatchback etc etc. And I’m an mot tester and all shows correct on vosa’s system so all a bit weird.
  12. So car is hip clear etc etc etc but reading up on things my chassis code should be 6Y2 2005 fabia vrs. But strangely my chassis code is 6Y5. Which from wat I can work out makes it an estate. Which it definitely ain’t. Anyone shed any light. Would be greatly appreciated
  13. So decided to try and clean the front seats on the vrs any hints or tips on best way . I have access to wet vac machine . But being such a light colour there must be someone on here that's got a few tips
  14. So bought a 54plate fabia VRS , but some nugget thought it'd be good to fit different rear seat (think it's from a polo) and I don't have original .. it looks good the issue is the original VRS front seats are very dirty so was gonna replace the lot . Anyone on here tell me what interior goes straight in .. please
  15. Well here I am now the proud owner of my 1st Skoda ..
