  1. I would still sell it. It was completely plug and play. No coding needed at all. Camera is plug and play too. I’ve got a full harness extension to move the connector from the glovebox to behind the screen. Along with an extension GPS cable and DAB aerial. The only things needed doing were a bit of tape around the DAB connection (there is a small converter on the end which I found could work its way loose when manoeuvring the screen into place), and the factory USB plug needs to be unclipped from its housing, and a cable tie and foam used to hold an included extension in the correct place (once it’s in you would never know it’s been done). It has been on Reddit yeah.
  2. Yes. Still here. To be honest, I put it on here, stuck it in a box and forgot about it, thinking one day I may end up buying another Mk3. Well aware that it’s likely possible to get a cheap Android version for cheaper these days. But I don’t think they would compare to this Alpine.
  3. As title. Alpine i902-OC3 unit. Ideal replacement for an MIB1 Octavia Mk3. Adds wired CarPlay, full comparability with steering wheel controls, and cars standard infotainment features (except telephone button on the wheel). Best to read up about this unit online if interested. Also comes with Canton adaptor box if required. This adaptor was out of stock everywhere when I purchased it, I had to import it from Germany for €220. All relevant cables included. When I purchased it, I wasn’t sent the Alpine adaptor for the factory USB, but I attached a USB extender inside the factory position and used it for about 5 years with no problem. Full working order. Only for sale as the car was part ex’d a couple of months ago, so I put it back to standard. £500 ovno. Can also supply Alpine HCE-C2100RD reverse camera and Alpine boot lid switch with camera mount for £150. This is brand new and plug and play with the head unit. Bought just before Christmas, only plugged in to test, before the car was part ex’d. If local to South Wales, I’m sure I can fit it for you if you cover my fuel towards you.
  4. Been here for a long time, but rarely active. Had a meteor grey 2015 VRS hatch for a good few years, and we are due to pick up a 2020 meteor grey estate next week. Here is to hoping that the various recalls shown on ŠKODA approved service history mean that the car is decent now. Someone clearly liked it given the dark rear tints. If anyone knows anything about a low mileage meteor grey estate with reg starting NA70 let me know. Will also be looking to sell a complete Alpine i902D-OC3 system, including the Canton adaptor and can include an Alpine reverse camera for the Octavia 3 in the near future. Cheers all
