  2. Someone local is selling lowering springs that came off a 1.2tsi rapid. They are made by V-Maxx, 35mm front and 45mm for the back. I've never lowered a car before but have been reading up about it. Can someone who knows more about this tell me if these ride heights a suited to the rapid spaceback or am i going to have problems? Any information i need to find out before i buy? Any other info would be helpfull. Cheers Coming off of this.... ...And wanting to put them on to this...
  3. Sounds like a good idea. will wait till i get a few pieces together first and start from there.
  4. Hi, how you doing Eoghan. I too have just bought a new Rapid but the Spaceback version. Traded in my we pride and joy (Fabia, Monte Carlo) and I am also on the hunt for things for the car. If you haven't already, give this site a try. Might be usefull... http://www.superskoda.com/RAPID/
  5. What like Rob. Welcome from inverness
  6. Hi Paul, did you ever find seat covers to fit your seats? just bought 2016 spaceback 1.2tsi 110. needing covers also due to my working conditions.
  7. Seen this on ebay too that you might be interested in... https://bit.ly/2tg5yMh ...Nothing too mental by the looks of it!
  8. Never thought of taking off the back wiper. Checked that out online and looks pretty cool. Didn't think you'd get roof racks for the rapid with the panoramic sun roof. Sunstrip nice touch, never noticed that. Dont suppose you've a list of the sites or places used for everything so i could price up some stuff if its not to much bother?
  9. Hi mate, f***ing love how your car looks. I just traded in my 62 reg Monte Carlo for the Spaceback 1.2tsi SE Sport. Im looking to mod my car exactly how you have done here although i hadnt thought about lowering yet. But everything down to the wind deflectors is what I am planning. What, where and how much for all you've done so far? Old Monte Carlo and New Rapid below...
  10. Hi Jones. I have to agree, this is a lovely car to drive. I had mine for 3 years. literally just traded mine in on Friday there (15/6/2018). Still sad about it but I've upgraded to a 16 reg Skoda Rapid Spaceback SE Sport. I love the colour of yours. I've noticed this colour around more recently. I however had a white one and found that keeping it clean wasnt all to bad. Black is hard to keep clean but the candy white reflects light off it really well making it harder to see the dirt marks early on. Now im not in anyways mechanically minded nor could i justify spending what it costs to pay someone to lower it or remap it but that would have been nice. I did however add a couple of small details that i think sets off the look. I looked for mudflaps to prevent stone chipping and came across these... https://bit.ly/2HYivPc ... Came with fitting instructions. Also wind deflectors are a good addition on the look. I purchased these cause when the window was even slightly open rain would drip in but found that they actually looked quite smart too. Also painted the front calipers Skoda green to match the front badge as i had the 62 plate with the old badge logo. I am a big fan of Vans clothing and stuck a couple Vans logo stickers to the rear side windows. That was my own personal touch to suit me. All these minor things but wanted to share my thoughts. Hope these help.
  11. Cheers Mate. Yeah cracking photo, surprised my self with this shot. Will be looking at this picture a lot as of tomorrow once it goes for my new wheels. Had the best 3 years with this car out of my 13 years driving. Why i wanted to join this forum in the first place. Never really been on a forum for the love of cars before. nice to see a community passionate about Skoda's. Hope new one please's me just as much.
  12. Cheers mate. yeah this isn't a recent photo. This is from a year last March a long the Lochness road. Lovely drive anytime of the year. Between Inverness and Fort Augustus.
  13. Thanks Davy, No it wasn't me. Got these Mudflaps though from performancecreations.co.uk. Sets the car off I think.
