    I’m sorry, I never meant to step on anyone’s toes. Was just grateful for the information which helped fix my car as I really thought it was a goner!

    So glad I found this thread. My Fabia Monte Carlo was serviced at the end of the year and felt something just wasn’t quite right but it was driving ok, until last week when the oil light started to come on. Found this thread last night and took it to a garage this morning to see about it and there was the extra washer right enough. Car is running like a dream now. Thank you everyone.
