imho the upgraded sound system is a waste of money and the speakers rattle and vibrate at the slightest prolonged bass, dealer is doing their best and it is a shame because rest of car is excellent, going to get airbox padded hopefuklly should assist bass.r
-
Yes nice motor, you are having same problem as me - at even quarter volume whole door surround rattles and vibrates with anything with prolonged bass in it, even radio 1 !!!, every time I play Muse think the doors are coming off. IMHO the audio quality is nowhere near what i expected. Apart from that car is excellent and as usual dealer is bending over backwards to be helpful.

CR170 DSG Elegance 500 Mile Review
pugwash replied to GrahamElegance's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
GrahamElegance - My two pennorth -consumption about same as yours when worked out on petrol receipts but computer shows better, i am impressed compared to last superb as i think dsg when on form is excellent - in sport mode very rapid from stand still - i like down lights but each to their own. My dealer has been excellent and changed my front fogs no problem. I had a gearbox glitch on boxing day and they looked at it as soon as reported on monday, awaiting a reply from skoda technical who are off !!! Overall ,glitch aside, for comfort, practicality and pace well pleased. Lack of 7 fig post code irks me but apart from that love the columbus too. I would not swap it . -
quick update - dealer replaced today no probs - my view speedyholm is a lot of money for car so expect it to be right plus if skoda do not get returns wont know there is a problem to fix, best of luck with your dealer,

auditek my superb 2 did exactly the same today apart from showed no gears - had to turn off engine twice before could get into reverse - did you get a result at your dealers
-
got tied up at work - but they are usually fantastic ( be it unfashionable to say so !!!) so expect no problems getting replaced - will update when done.
-
just checked mine after a 1000 miles - well fogged up , elegance as well , do most driving during darkness so surprised not burnt off, dealers on monday - could be dodgy seals.

have to agree

2.0TDi CR 170bhp Elegance - Manual or DSG
pugwash replied to pdd0773's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
i m the opposite - hated auto on previous superb but i love dsg - slightly less mpg than manual but drive it in town or a queue and you will see why , i have got flappy panels so can play in manual when i want. Took it out in snow and i mean snow for 50 miles first thing on thursday and it was impeccable which really impressed me, but horses for courses and as above get a good test drive to make up your mind -
thanks Bagpuss. I have upgraded sound system like yourself and as a media unit think the columbus is cracking and tons better than the dx - like the dx though i think the sat nav is pants, none 7 digit postcode is disgraceful on a new car of this spec and it is unintuitive imho compared to most stuff out there. Roll on version 4 and a free upgrade hopefully !!! However apart from that I love the car.

could i be cheeky bagpuss and ask you to ask them when the navigation is actually going to a postcode system in that at least equals a £100 pound unit

Dealer needs some of your help!
pugwash replied to Allams Skoda's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
jcblincs - can confirm works in all gears - up or down when in auto mode also if you make no more manual changes after about 30 seconds switches back to auto, hope this helps -

I swore would never get another auto after my 2.5 tiptronic superb 1 - but test drove a superb 2 dsg and thought it was tons better, so much so i bought one and have to say the dsg is an absolute dream and smooth especially when sitting in a jam, also you can even force a change in auto mode by using the paddles - though i do accept it is more complicated than a manual, but it is imho years ahead of a torque converter box, more important it is as much fun as a manual if you want it to be. -
And have no non slip mats in which superb 1 did - everything slides everywhere
