  1. It started off faint but did get louder. After a week the noise returned unfortunately. No further forward.
  2. The dealer is going to update Skoda UK so hopefully it'll make a difference for others. I have heard that others have had it replaced but not taken it away completely.
  3. Yes that is my post lol I was ready to reject the car to be honest. The dealer had changed the bearing but noise was still there. They contacted Skoda UK who then sent a bulletin stating it is normal acoustic noise. My brother has the exact same car as mine so told the dealer I would be rejecting. They got back in touch with Skoda who asked them to try changing the gearbox mount and it has worked. Noise gone! Glad I didn't accept the acoustic rubbish!
  4. Although I have a Kodiaq I have waited 9 weeks for replacement glove box which was broken on delivery. I also fear windscreen issues as I believe the wait is just as Iong for the Kodiaq. I totally agree, that although, the glove box I've been able to live with but a windscreen is very different. I hope they rectify your issue soon.
  5. I do try my best. As I said it was not my opinion but from another discussion and I'm not going to argue with the Skoda Tech that informed the OP of the original FB discussion of its purpose.
  6. Skoda Kodiaq UK post was on a couple of weeks back.
  7. Happens when my hubby drives the car all the time.
  8. Glad you are getting it sorted out to your satisfaction.
  9. The Wild Haggis did you manage to get your issue resolved with the dealer to your satisfaction?
  10. Every day is a school day on this forum!
  11. I never knew the big one was called Mini I thought that was standard. I stand corrected, the manual does indeed refer to correct size of SIM. I used a needle to remove mine but I could see a little of it. Tweezers were then used when it came out further.
  12. From the Facebook group it is a wire fitted at the factory for testing moisture levels in the car. It should be like that.
  13. What size of SIM did you put into the slot? I only ask because I put in the standard size and it wouldn't work. Read the manual and it said it takes micro so put that in then had to use tweezers to retrieve the card. Can you see any of the SIM? Sorry but this really did make me laugh. You are not having a great weekend.
  14. Sorry I didn't know you were fully aware of that and yes you can have one for phone and one only for media!
  15. You can connect two phones to Bluetooth at the same time
  16. It isn't that high on the car, a good 5cm below handle height with paint transfer from another car. Bodyshop certainly believed it to be caused by a door.
  17. Yes and typically no note left. It was less than 16 hours old and only had 33 miles on the clock Never mind, it'll look as good as new tomorrow.
  18. If they were cheaper I'd get them to protect my car doors for that reason alone. Car in today to have the door resprayed. I wonder over the life of the car which would work out cheaper!
  19. It does seem very sensitive on the motorway. Each time I would not have said we were at risk of collision. Certainly the one at lower speed I couldn't identify a reason. We have had the car 7 weeks and it has displayed 5 times during motorway driving and once at lower speed. We have 2000 miles on the car so we are receiving warnings approx every 400 miles. It has only prompted braking once at the lower speed. The others the warning went as quick as it appeared. Robdav that is something my hubby would do lol
  20. That must've been what happened today then has I felt the car made a half hearted attempt to stop but as j said there was nothing there to stop for. Does it work at motorway speed or is it advisory only?
  21. Question regarding the above. I have read the manual but it isn't clear. So my hubby has managed to trigger the front assist warning a good few times during motorway driving but the car didn't apply brakes. Should it have or is this warning only at motor way speed? What is the difference between front assist warning and the one with the exclamation in the middle of two cars? Today the front assist warning displayed followed by what I would describe as a half-hearted attempt to apply brakes but they released. I was driving maybe 18mph tops on a residential road with no car in front or behind, no trees, no shadows etc.
  22. Yes look identical to that but don't display on Infotainment.
  23. I have had front sensors fitted by the dealer and like you they are not playing ball. They go crazy when there is nothing there and then at others time I'll park the car knowing full well that I'm pretty close but they don't engage. When I switch off the car go shopping or whatever, come back, switch the ignition on then they will go crazy now picking up what they didn't before. I don't have Park Assit but it seems our sensors are 'working' the same way. I did notice that the honeycomb grill that my sensors are fitted to sticks out slightly at one side. I'm unsure if this might be causing it. It was in the dealership yesterday but they said they are working fine. Drove it out if the garage took my son to boxing, reverse parked the car and front sensors going crazy. I took a picture and emailed it to the dealership as the should not be making a noise when clearly NOTHING is there.
  24. I'll be on this one day. After my car was hit by another door when it hadn't even 30 miles on the clock. I now try to find an end space that I can sit very tight to outside line to allow plenty of God damn room for people to open their doors!
