  1. I have the same issue with my phone, it is a Samsung galaxy note 9, which is android. I guess I must have screwed up a setting on the infortament system but I've spent hours looking to fix it to no avail. I've decided to not to bother with it anymore, I just reduce the volume when I get a call.
  2. She is by no means unattractive. I guess as the saying goes; beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
  3. I had this issue when I got my free '3' sim. So I squeezed out the nano size first, then put it into my android phone (Samsung galaxy). Registered it for the free 200mb/month data, then after it was all done with confirmation via text etc. I took the nano-size out of the phone and press squeezed it back into the mini (standard) size. Took it to the car and this was where I was careful how I slipped it in (as I read here the troubles someone went through due to slipping it in the wrong way - since you already have had that done, it shouldn't be an issue). I hope this helps. My car is December 2018 issue so I don't have the GE to begin with.
  4. It is a wonderful piece of machine, it has not stalled yet since the last time it did, which seems like forever now. The ambient temperature has been holding so can't give a sub zero report yet. The learning curve for the DSG is a relatively steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it is nothing but a joy to drive. Just stay away from the economy mode, doesn't make much of a difference in fuel savings compared to normal mode but it makes the car feel laggy as it requires more throttle input for the same response compared to normal mode. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we are enjoying ours. SWIMBO has abandoned the other car, kept a key permanently on her person so she can swiftly sneek out with the bear without having that conversation.
  5. It is a pretty awesome, versatile and powerful (car size vs engine size) car. People don't believe it is a 1.5 petrol. It just has its characteristics I have to master and I also realise it doesnt like it cold. Cant wait for the summer months, to see how it morphs with the ambient temperature.
  6. Yes, it is set to Normal. Didn't see much savings on Eco mode and I got tired of always having to reset it back to Eco mode anytime I got into the car.
  7. Yes it has, maybe once or twice since. Still chucking it out on learning the DSG and my need to adjust my driving style. Since I stopped using the auto hold function, I cant recall it happening again. Would be sure to update here if it happens again under the new set of conditions I've set it to. Generally, the weather has been fairly warmer so that isn't taken into account yet.
  8. It would be impossible for me to go with a Terraco at the moment. There is no DSG petrol, there is just the 1.5 TSI 6 speed manual. My mileage and driving style certainly requires a petrol and I wouldn't want to bother with a shift stick anymore.
  9. I would be needing these as well, do you mind sharing the source? I would also need something to cover the back of the front seats as the kids keep kicking the seats and I fear someday the leather would give.
  10. I am hoping one of the pouch takes two of the the keys as I have 3 keys.
  11. I have one in business grey, it is an edition not a sportline trim and I think it looks good, i wanted quartz grey but SWIMBO prevailed, I had to give in since I was bringing her into the skoda ecosystem. That said, I've only washed it once since delivery on 15/12/2018, I guess it does a decent job masking dirt. Not noticed any scratch yet so either there is none or I cant see them. See attached a pix.
  12. Do they actually work? I recall reading it somewhere that they don't work. I use an empty biscuit tin box but as you can imagine, it isn't the most convenient item to lug around.
  13. The tapping twice of the offroad button would really be applicable to kodiaq with 4x4, front wheel only kodiaq like mine, wont be able to apply that hack.
  14. Delivered 15th December 2018. Edition 1.5 tsi dsg 7st 2wd (heated windshield, seat & steering wheel, Drivers package including ACC, Areaview Cam, children pack). Awesome car, it was well worth the 7 month wait. The Adaptive Cruise Control ACC is superb, makes motorway driving so easy, I love the personalisation of driver profile, makes it easy to drive off, even if SWIMBO was the last to use it, all I do is adjust the rearview mirror and the car takes care of the rest. Areaview cam has come handy in tricky situations but not used frequently, still trying to justify the price, on the plus side, it comes with all round sensors. Cant get skoda connect to work properly (says error on the infotainment but seems to work on phone app) or I don't know how to use it as it has not really served me. Had some power drop issues but still looking into that, excluding that I think it was my best decision in 2018.
  15. I have the kodiaq 1.5TSI DSG 7st which was delivered on the 15th of December 2018. Awesome car, just done about 370 miles so far, I must confess it is yet to see much action as the Honda Civic (automatic transmission) it was to replace is still available and being the work horse. I have had the power go off on me twice, happened while trying to out of the driveway. Reversed out of the driveway, moved the selector into D from R and no throttle response (the first time it happened, I thought start/stop was to blame so I powered down and switched it on then continued, the second time start/stop was off this time and it happened, I chucked it up to driving style). Last time it happened, was at the traffic stop - cant recall if it was start/stop or I slowed down too much power was cut off. I cant really recall what/how exactly it happened - I don't count this event as I can't replicate the conditions easily. I do get out of the driveway most days; I think the colder the morning, the less time I give the car to warm up and the heated functions I use all contribute to the power going off. SWIMBO says it happened to her and her solution is to depress the throttle further then it eventually responds. She is way more patient than I am. Plan on trying that solution when next it happens but lately I was on a quest to improving my DSG driving style as I figured it was quite different to an auto transmission. It would be a shame if this fault lies with the car, I took 7 months to get here and it is such a lovely car. The reviews of 1.4 tsi dsg esp with respect to the power/size delivery and obviously the price compared to its rivals got me. Had to go overboard to convince SWIMBO over from a badge name, don't want to imagine the look on her face if Skoda disappoints.
  16. Finally, Skoda Live Chat confirmed car is at Emden waiting for a ship to transport to the UK. This is my first new car so I am a newbie and have no clue what to do or what stuff to check when i go for the handover. Whatelse would I need? For context, I ordered a Kodiaq 150tsi DSG Edition 2wd. I live in Glasgow so I am thinking, winter tyres? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Do you think it can be updated or upgraded via VCDS? I believe all the hardware is present so it should be some software integration right?
  18. Out if curiosity, what figures did the website give for the consumption/emissions values for the 1.5tsi kodiaq
  19. I ordered the 1.4tsi (now 1.5tsi) on the 3rd of july, dealer emailed me yesterday to say it has an unconfirmed build week of week 47 (3rd week of Nov). Trying to stay positive and be patient; spec for spec, skoda was the cheapest manufacturer that had good ratings. Hopefully the dealer hands the car to me before 2018 runs out (I know, I am being optimistic - what else can I really do) I was guaranteed 3 weeks for an outlander phev last week - I almost signed the dotted lines.
  20. Were you thinking of the Tesla. It is planned on the model 3 but i dont think any of them on the riad right now has it functional. It is planned in the next OTA update. I wouldn't expect anything less for a $100k car (this is assuming you xan actually get one delivered to you).
  21. I went all crazy on the options list and was able to get the Sportsline to £50,000 but did the same to the Edition and couldn't get it beyond £48,500. So how is the Edition above the Sportsline in Trim level again?
  22. From what you are saying, it sounds more of HP - Hire Purchase contract than a PCP. The major difference would be if there is a balloon payment at the end of your contract, which could be anything as high as 30% of the OTR price, otherwise I would say that is HP which means equal payments until the end of the contract. I dont know if the skoda finance (about £2k) and services are offered under HP but last i checked it was for PCP. I would take a good look at that contract before I'd sign it if I were to be in your position.
  23. That awesome, I ordered an Edition trim. As i have no pets, I dont need the partition screen. Maybe I should take a better look at those pics so i can figure out mine when it comes. Thanks for clearing that up.
  24. I didnt spec mine with the nets, for £155 I felt it was an expensive option and I am hoping i could get something cheaper (3rd party) if I needed it or learn to live without the nets.
