I've got a problem with my TDI estate mk1. On first exceleration after start from cold she drops into limp mode. It sounds like I have a quiet dump valve fitted when it does it. It may do it again but not usually until it cools down again. Any suggestions were I should look to fix the problem?

As above, can fit Golf Mk 4 seats in an Octavia Mk1 estate? Is it a straight fit or are adaptions needed? Thanks in advance.

Looking for some inspiration and hope you can help. All is well with my Octavia TDI mk1 (non PD) when the fuel tank is more than 1/4 full Below this, when you come to start it, you have to crank the engine for 10-15 seconds before she catches. It then runs fine after this. Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved befor I start pulling the system appart.

As in the title, I've replaced this bolt 3 times now, an thoughts as to why my car is eating them? Bolts are high tensil steel torqued to the correct tension. Any inspiration?:confused:

My Octy has done 100k and I doubt it have ever had an oil change. Would a flush help to remove the goo, and with what? Dave

Audi's have the bits you see sprayed silver if you buy the originals and top quality replacement parts. I almost bought some until I saw the cost for my Octy.

Hi All, Being the sad man that I am I bought a obd2 eeprom cable to have a play with and now wish I hadn't. When I look at the dash I've done 94k miles, but when I read the dash memory it gives the mileage as 151k! Have I been done? Should I forget it as informing Trading Standards might cause me grief but no one else, or should I trace the *******s down rip their knackers off? Your thoughts and experiences will be appreciated. Hi, Just bought an Octavia TDI estate. I'm halfway through changing the fluid and it's full of little crystals, the last time I can see that the fluid was replaced was 3 years ago. One of the caliper guide pins was just pushed in the whole in the wheel hub (no thread at all)! Quality servicing eh? I should have read the threads on here ref. rear pad changing. Haynes needs to have ago at using circlip pliers on the rear pistons. I made my own tool once I knew what a proper one looked like.
